Pastor (280), Maine, USA Jun 13, 2008 Thanks to Dim for this one
My bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a lasting finger worth of head that turned slowly to a thick lace across the glass .The body of the brew was a clear golden copper color
The hops aroma was very pronounced you could smell it in the room. Some malt sweet notes as well as other citrus smells
Wow very sweet for a DIPA not overtly so but more than I expected, a little alcohol warmth present too you get the pine flavors of the hops as a finish Good body as well as carbonation
I’d drink this again. I would love to try it on tap to see if there is any difference to the hop profile. Another solid brew from Stoudts
thefle (26), , New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 I was very underwhelmed by this beer. I am usually a IPA junkie and double IPA’s are terrific to me. This was very boring though GMCC2181 (422), Bear, Delaware, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle from dakine, thanks! Dark orange in color, good two finger sized head. The head lingered and was frosty. Solid aroma of fresh pine/citrus hops. Smooth creamy texture that practically slid down my throat. Very well balanced, the hops were not overpowering at all. No trace of the ten percent alcohol eithier. I am impressed, mainly in the texture and how easy this was to drink. I have passed this in my store plenty of time and now I regret not picking it up earlier. Thanks dakine for sending this one back around my way. taalhiker (111), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 30, 2008 From bottle. Part of April Dayton Beertasting event.
Pours a hazy orange with long lasting orange head.
The aroma is a mix of citrusy hops and malt.
The alcohol comes through a little - combined with yeast, piney hops and spice.
Long finish. mephisto (1125), Taiwan Sep 27, 2008 a pleasantly drinkable brew consider its strength and hopping. highly hopped as expected, the aroma is grapefruit and the flavor is intensely malty and hoppy. alexsdad06 (671), Ohio, USA Sep 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle from daknole. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized light orange head. The aroma is bready, sweet malt, citrus, and floral. The flavor has a heavy dose of sweet malt, citrus, light pine, some of the orange rind thrown in for good measure, and alcohol. There is a slight lingering bitterness in the finish. Full bodied, thick, smooth, and good. This is another solid offering from this brewery.
