12 ounce bottle thanks to dan. Pours a clear copper\orange color with a medium white head. A sweet dusty malt nose. A nice flavor of ripe fruit, grains, some light lemon. Easygoing.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured an light amber golden color with minimal head and no lace. Aroma is of mild sweet hops and some autumn spices. Taste is of mild hops, spices maybe, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel followed by mild bitterness. Not a style I normally drink but this was a decent brew.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours clear amber with a slight foamy off-white head. Light mildly roast malt aroma. Med body. Flavor is roast caramel with some hint of vanilla or similar. Pleasant. Not really sweet, and there’s definitely bitter in the finish. Hop might be grassy. Hard to tell.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (3763) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Pours copper with a decent beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. Not a bad marzen, if you like that style.

Bottle. Light, crisp beer, easy drinking, good for a session. Nothing special. Not my favorite.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Heathen (1241) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - NOV 3, 2011
THOUGHTS: Not one of my favorite Oktoberfests, but it’s also not one of my favorite styles. But I will admit it has lots of flavor for the low ABV. A little too metallic for me.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium orange with and average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma had moderate dark bread, grain, caramel and candy; light to moderate floral, herbal and grassy hops; slight apple; vegetable; and slight orange. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet, slightly sour and light to moderately bitter with an average duration. There was caramel, honey, grassy and metallic hops, sort of a sour dough thing, herbal hops, slight vegetable or apple, and dark bread. The medium body was a little syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jcos (568) - Maryland, USA - OCT 25, 2011
Location/Date:Bottle on October 25th, 2011.
Appearance: Pours a medium copper.
Aroma: Aroma is of bready malt and some caramel.
Taste: More hop bitterness than expected for style, with decent amount of sweet malt still present.
Palate:Light body but a little too carbonated for my liking.
Summary: Might be my last Oktoberfest of the season. This one was interesting, definitely more hoppy than other varieties, only thing holding it back was amount of fizziness in the beer.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 corby112 (1862) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2011
Pours a slightly hazy, dark golden orange color with a two finger frothy off-white head. Decent retention only slowly fading into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Slightly spicy aroma with sweet malt notes and faint hops. Brown sugar and cinnamon with caramel, toffee and biscuit. Kind of weak really. All of these elements are subtle.
Medium bodied with a prominent autumnal spice character up front that lingers over the sweeter notes into a dry finish. Slight crisp hop presence compliments the spices but doesn’t overpower. Not bitter. Sweet malt backbone is kind of watered down with caramel toffee and nut. Mediocre.
