3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 PattyBat (16) - - APR 30, 2013
Pours a clear caramel color with decent head. Smells lightly of hops, not too overpowering. Smooth all the way through without an overpowering KOP taste. Would’ve liked for it to have been a bit more hoppy and bitter.

Colour is an almost strawberry juice colour. Nose is slightly muted, rind bitterness. Flavour has great malts, the hops are resiny, and has some grapefruit rind flavours. Really really nice!!!

On tap. Poured nice, had a fresh aroma. This brew fit the bill for a classic American IPA. Full bodied with a strong dry bitter finish. Very good. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had Apollo hops before. I’m looking forward to trying the remaining three

Sample at Teresas. Glad I didn’t order a glass of this as I wasn’t a fan. Pours cloudy orange with light clear head. Notes are tons of malt, toasted and regular, rye, wood, and grains. Hoppy on the palate but no citrus or pine notes really, just tons of malt and light toasted marshmallow in the finish. I don’t like ipas on handpumps....ever.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Capa (1905) - Manama, BAHRAIN - FEB 16, 2013
Copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, earthy, sweet toasted malts. Soft, but noticeable bitterness. FInish has a nice round malt profils, sweet fruit, and medium bitterness. A very nice and easy going IPA that isn’t overly bitter or dry. One of the better ones I’ve had lately.

Draft at craft ale house. Pours clear copper with a small off white head. The aroma has a good bit of pine, some grassy notes, light citrus, light caramel. The taste has a mild bitterness up front that sweetens a bit with a light citrus taste. There is a good bit of resin and hop flavor. Very nice, easy drinking ipa with a slightly rye spicy, dry finish. A good start to the series.
