Bottle poured into a pint glass produced a nice white head that lasted and had a great lacing. The body was a clear straw colored yellow.
The aroma was nice and bready in my nose . The flavor was light and crisp with a light feel in my mouth.
This was a perfect Kolsch
Easy to drink light in the mouth. This is a perfect brew to drink mass quantities of great job guys

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear straw yellow color with a grassy, earthy aroma with a touch of grain. Lemon, grass and a touch of hop bitterness comprise the flavor. Not my favorite style, but a nice beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft - Golden straw color that is clear with a few stray lazy bubbles. It did provide a short lived white head with little to no lacing. On nose there was a crisp faint malt and straw scent. The mouthfeel is light with an almost skim milk type feel. There is a touch of lawn and grass clippings on taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle/12oz. - Poured a pretty golden amber in color with a bright white head that stuck around for some slight lacing on the glass. Aroma is a combination of citrus hops and nutty grains, but neither that pronounced. Flavor is slightly fruity with the nutty grains and citrus hops in the background. Finish is clean and slightly bitter. Easy drinking and refreshing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma is sweet and lemony. Very sweet and flowery. Beautifully summery citrus in the nose.
The appearance is sunny straw yellow with nice carbonation. Proud, ivory white head. Decent white walls of lace.
The flavor is lemony with a hint of flowers. Very light with a hint of some earthy German malts.
The palate is creamy but with a smooth, oily outer coating. A very summery sweet brew with a nice earthy base. Again, Stoudts does it right.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Pours a transparent bright golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of soft pale malts with a hint of graininess and some noble hops. Starts with decent fullness and mild sweetness with some authentic German hop bitterness before a drier, smooth finish. Fairly clean and true to style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Total Wine, Durham. It’s hotter than fuck in NC right now and this one is the ticket. Crisp, lively golden pour. Pretty considerable prickly white head. Nice dry aroma, bitter and refreshing and particularly fresh. Nice lively palate too, quaffable but with a modest depth to it that makes it more than table water. Slight yeasty flavors complement the dry hops quite well, and with just enough malts to satisfy it makes for an overall well rounded and terrifically enjoyable example of a kolsch.

Thanks to grownfool for the trade. I was really surprised how much I liked this one. I’ve never beer to Koln or Cologne or however you spell it, so I can judge this against "real" kolsches, but I really enjoyed the mild, understated fruity sweet flavors and they way they mixed with the subtle grainy notes. So yeah, I like a Kolsch...

Usually Stoudts beers are extremely flavorful and I enjoy them thoroughly, although this beer was pretty flavorless and unappealing even for a kolsh. The brewer just tied to create a little too much subtly and it didnt go over well
