3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a bit lighter hued than most oktoberfests I’ve seen, this being a light and clear amber with no carbonation present in the body. The head is thin and tan with some lacing as it slowly dissipates.
Aroma: The aroma is really lacking, light malt sweetness and light hop presence, but rather bland.
Taste: This is rather unremarkable, lightly sweet malts, light toasted flavors, and light floral hops on the finish. It’s not bad, but it’s forgettable.
Palate: Medium bodied with light amounts of lightly sharp carbonation.
Overall: Mediocre at best, this is good but nothing that stands out. I’ll pass next year.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a clear copper color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about forty seconds leaving some light stringy lacing sliding into the glass.
The smell started off with a rich nutty to caramel presence leading into some toasty to bready hops.
The taste was moderately sweet with earthy undertones of nutty and caramel malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a very good sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed fairly smooth but I’m guessing this was last Autumn’s batch, so that’s no hit on Stoudt’s just the aging of the beer until this time.
Overall, an Oktoberfest in May, well cheers to that being that it held up even further than expected. I’d look forward to having this hopefully this Autumn with some pretzels and a football game.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 12 oz. bottle: a cream-colored head arises from clear darkish-copper liquid. Nice malty toasty aroma with just a hint of hops. Tastes toasty with some caramel notes. Smooth and clean with just enough bitterness on the backside. This has a little more of everything than most Octoberfests (with the exception of hops), but the lasting aroma is the highlight. Very enjoyable.

Transfer from BA review on 9-21-12-
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a copper-orange colored beer with a nice one finger white head. The head faded rather fast to level a lighter amount of lacing.
Smell – The aroma was heaviest of a toasted malt with hints of some caramel and lightly earthy and herbal hop aroma. Overall it was rather light, but nice none the less.
Taste – The flavor begins of roasted malt with a sweet caramel taste. The caramel fades slightly toward the middle of the taste as some hop flavors of a more earthy nature greet the tongue. Toward the end the caramel comes back a bit and with an added arrival of a increase in the roasted flavors, to produce a lightly hopped and roasted smooth finish.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the smoother side with an average body creaminess and a average carbonation level. Good and drinkable for the style
Overall –Overall a very easy drinking brew with a nice flavor blend. Give it a go if you have a chance.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
It has a deep rich golden body with visible carbonation and good clarity. A two finger thick and foamy white head sits on top. It slowly fades to a thin layer that hangs on well and some slick lacing. The aroma is light and has a delicate light grain note with a slight hint of spicy hops. It has a crisp pale biscuity malt with some light roasted notes as well. There is a mild sweetness from the malt and a nice equal balance of bitterness and leafy/grassy/spicy hop flavor notes. It finishes crisply with a slight balance towards the bitter hop side. The palate has a medium body with plenty of active carbonation.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
@ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Nearly clear medium amber color, over-anzious head, globs of lace. Taste is over-sweet malt that adds light spice and fizz in the palate before moving to light bitters in the finish. On the low end as an Oktoberfest.

This one poured a light orange color with a white head. Araom was of caramel and grass. Flavor was similar, somewhat candyish in the finish. Ok but typical american okto.
