Couleur cuivrée surmontée d’une faible mousse diminuante. Arômes et saveurs à la fois rempli de diacetyl et de légumes bouillis, dms. Horrible !

Transfer from BA review on 9-21-12- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a copper-orange colored beer with a nice one finger white head. The head faded rather fast to level a lighter amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma was heaviest of a toasted malt with hints of some caramel and lightly earthy and herbal hop aroma. Overall it was rather light, but nice none the less. Taste – The flavor begins of roasted malt with a sweet caramel taste. The caramel fades slightly toward the middle of the taste as some hop flavors of a more earthy nature greet the tongue. Toward the end the caramel comes back a bit and with an added arrival of a increase in the roasted flavors, to produce a lightly hopped and roasted smooth finish. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the smoother side with an average body creaminess and a average carbonation level. Good and drinkable for the style Overall –Overall a very easy drinking brew with a nice flavor blend. Give it a go if you have a chance.

It has a deep rich golden body with visible carbonation and good clarity. A two finger thick and foamy white head sits on top. It slowly fades to a thin layer that hangs on well and some slick lacing. The aroma is light and has a delicate light grain note with a slight hint of spicy hops. It has a crisp pale biscuity malt with some light roasted notes as well. There is a mild sweetness from the malt and a nice equal balance of bitterness and leafy/grassy/spicy hop flavor notes. It finishes crisply with a slight balance towards the bitter hop side. The palate has a medium body with plenty of active carbonation.

@ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Nearly clear medium amber color, over-anzious head, globs of lace. Taste is over-sweet malt that adds light spice and fizz in the palate before moving to light bitters in the finish. On the low end as an Oktoberfest.

This one poured a light orange color with a white head. Araom was of caramel and grass. Flavor was similar, somewhat candyish in the finish. Ok but typical american okto.

Golden-amber body, thin white head, minimal lacing. Freshly toasted bread, soft orange marmalade, a fair bit of grassy hops. Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, semi-sweet finish.

Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma has light toasty malts and dry leaves. Flavor follows suit...some hints of caramel and tea...earthy and toasty. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is earthy/roasty and lingers to light earthy hoppiness.

Draft at Good Dog. Slightly hazy dark gold pour with some light foam on top. Burnt whole wheat toast, caramel and orange peels. Palate is juicy but too thin. Drinkable.

Pour is a hazy tan with a small tan head. Aroma is slightly malty and kinda thin. Flavor is better with a nice roasted nut and decent caramel malt. Finish is malty and bready. Did not start off too well with this one but after taking a few sips it grew on me and turned out to be a decent marzen.

a malt note in the nose, not over assertive. nice color and clarity, good head. good malt flavor but, again, not out of balance. little hop bitterness. clean finish. seems like a slightly modest version of the style. a good lighter version of a fest beer.
