COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

12oz bottle. Pours a light bright yellow with highlights of deeper gold and a thin, small-bubbled white head. The aroma is sweet with pilsner malt, light notes of honey and sweet corn, with a subtle hop aroma. The flavor is bready with a subtle sweetness and a firm bitterness. The finish is dry with a firm hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is tingly with a medium level of carbonation and has a medium-light body. Overall, a very decent German Pils with a strong clean pilsner malt character and a hop bitterness that manages to be firm while remaining shy of harsh.

Clean and clear gold pour with fluffy white head. Citrus aroma. Sweet grains and a nice hoppy flavor with a clean dry finish . This is a very underrated beer.

Bottle thanks to beerbill: Pours a transparent bright goldenrod with a thin, stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of light pale German malts and crisp, floral noble hops. Body starts lightly sweet and grainy malty with good fullness for the style and a nice, refreshing balance of authentic bittering and flavor hops. Finishes drier, smooth and bittersweet. A very nice pilsener and session beer.

7/3/08: Bottle.
Lager like nose. Hay bodied with a creamy, slight off-white head, nice amount of lace which clings to glass. Flavor of grass and a bit of lemon. FInish is bitter.

Draft at the brewery...pours a light clear yellow, sudsy white head…not much aroma, kind of grassy…taste was kind of the same, grassy, grainy, some hops…soapy mouth feel…crisp and kind of thirst quenching, but did nothing for me. Either I was expecting too much or I need to sample more pils.

Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells of sage, some pepper, crisp malt. Tastes of crisp dry malt accompanied by a hint of peppery bitterness and some citrussy splashes on the finish. This is an excellent beer for the summer!
