COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

12oz bottle. Pours a bright, clear medium-golden color; bright white head with excellent fine-bubbled lacing. Excellent mineral and herbal bitterness in the aroma; dry, bitter, refreshing nose; a bit of grass. Medium mouthfeel: pleasant levels of bitter mineral and herbal hops matched to a dry, toasty malt core; lots of breadiness and soft sugar coming through; perfectly balanced pilsener, with just the right pairing of bitter, chewy hop character; intensely drinkable, very nicely dry, and satisfying hoppiness. Lengthy finish, showing bread, toasty malts, and lasting mineral / herbal bitterness.

Pours a clear, yellowish golden color. A smooth, creamy white head leaves lacy bands of foam on the glass. The nose is fresh and crisp, with lightly sweet, buttery pale malts, toasted bread, and a nice dose of grassy hops. The flavor continues this theme, with the sweet pale malts being balanced perfectly by the fresh, crisp, grassy hop bite. Medium bodied, smooth, finishing semi-dry and crisp. Nothing crazy going on here, just an easy drinking and refreshing Pils. Very nice summertime beer.

12 oz bottle from a trade with Bungalo22. pours pale yellow with a mid sized white head. very saazy aromas with a noticeable lack of malt. flavours are similar. wheres the breadiness? wheres the malt at all? i did enjoy this cause its not often you get this much saaz on your palate but without the malts its all saaz and water.

bottle. pours a sparkling gold with a large white head. smells of grass and cookie dough. flavor is creamy with biscuity malts balanced by some grassy, floral hops. finishes dry and grassy but somewhat bland. nice and thirst quenching but if you can get this stuff that must mean you are in Pennsylvania and you could get Victory Prima Pils which is marginally better.

12 oz bottle purchased at Maxs FHT. Pours a clear gold with a large fluffy white head. Aroma of grain, dough and flowery hops. Medium bodied that finishes with a nice touch of bitterness. Flavor of grain, cereal and grass. Very crisp and refreshing and a nice thirst quencher. Good stuff.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2009 12oz Bottle. A brisk spring breeze sweeps me out of the Boston Commons. Wet malt plods as my footsteps down Arlington St. A crisp waft of lemoncello and hop gardens rises from the T tunnel. A lazy afternoon sun dapples the pillowy white high-pressure clouds above. It’s a crystal clear day and the con-trails grace the high atmosphere, distracting my left brain. A cool sensation develops. The salt air from the Gulf of Maine parches my lips and tongue and I thrist for more the salty, grain sugars that quench me. The townspeople move about, but life is pretty simple. A faint cloud of alcohol materializes as I breather deeper. The smooth, calm restraint of my demeanor guides a gentle sweetness to succor my demands. This day is so fresh and clean. I drink it in quickly and before I know it the sun has set and I’m left standing at the State House, satiated. The day lingers on my mind, leaving a bright, parching earthy kiss of plants. Delicious.
