COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

From AC Beer Fest 2013. Grassy, malty aromas, true to the style. The appearance is clear gold, white head. The flavor is subdued, grass, pilsner malt. The finish has a grassy, noble pils bitter quality. Medium in body. Not bad.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2013 Very solid german pilsner. Exactly what it should taste like. Now 3rd favorite behind victory prima and sly fox pike land. Lots of peppery saaz hop flavor. Nice complete experience.

Muchas Gracias to Durhambeer for sending this long-wanted Classic German Pilsner my way!
Pours a pretty pale golden color with a medium sized white head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is a touch sweet, with some cidery and light fruity hop character.

The flavor is very crisp and nicely dry. Plenty of noble hop character to go around, very herbal, a touch peppery with a big bitterness. The beer has a touch of cidery sweetness and some crisp and husky malt flavors.

Bottle. Deep golden color with small foamy white head. Nose was think in hops and grain. Flavor was bitter up front with estery notes, and a clinging bitterness, very thick for a German Pils, more like a Bohemian. But, it was heavy hopped in a good way. Mass market pils are either bitter with no hops, or IPA like. This was in the middle. This beer has some depth, which was a plus.

From notes 2009. Light golden-straw yellow body with a good sized white cap and fairly dense lacing. Light lemon and grass notes. Some baked bread. A tad more complex than the nose, the lemon citric hops are played off of the floral/grassy hop bitterness. Somewhat restrained. Again, some baked bread shines through. Light to medium bodied, with a clean finish and good amount of carbonation. Perhaps the weakest of the 4 big PA pils (victory, slyfox, troegs, stoudt’s)... but that really isn’t a knock on this beer. Its a solid all-around pils, not as hoppy as victory prima and slyfox pikeland, not as refreshing as troegs. A deserving beer for a nice warm summer weekend.

Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a thick foamy white head. Aroma has straw and grass...mild soapiness. Flavor follows suit and amps up the grassiness...nice bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry and grassy/bitter.

Pale straw in color with a nice, foamy white head. Heavy bitter taste with a refreshing hoppy finish. Stoudts never disappoints.
