3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Quake1028 (633) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2007
12oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow body with a sudsy, two finger sized white head. Very lively carbonation going up the sides of the glass. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, grassy fields, spices. On the tongue the hop flavors dominate, backed by grassy wheat notes. Don’t get much of a sweet flavor backbone here but it’s not bothersome. Light bodied but not watery, carbonation follows through to the mouthfeel. Finish is spicy, bitter and lengthy. Good beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 HOPSHUNTER (741) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 16, 2007
12oz Bottle. Poured a light straw color with a somewhat thick white head. Pleasent balance of malt and hops. A shame I didn’t get the same flavors a lot of the others got. Beer had a crisp dry finish. Not a huge pilsner fan but, this beer is pretty good. Very drinkable.

Bottle: Very light yellow pour with a white head. Light cookie malt aroma with light hints of straw and lemon-like citrus. Smooth/gentle carbonation with some light bisquity malt and a peppery aspect. There’s a hint of zesty saaz in the finish. A bit simple, but drinkable.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 IrishBoy (3264) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUN 11, 2007
Bottle from mcbackus, Thanks Matt. Nose is sweet and grainy with some grassy hops; yellow gold with a medium white head; flavorsweet and grainy combined with mild hop bitterness, lasting to the finish. Good Pilsener.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Radek Kliber (5171) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 8, 2007
Bottle at Mondial.
Bright golden pils with neat bright white head. 3+
Refreshing hoppy nose, hay like grassy Sazz . Clean , crisp , fresh.
Soft bodied , clean smooth malt work. Quiet gentle this Pils is . Sweet but not to much to overshadow its light hoppy character. Reminded me of Wurzburger Pils I had some time ago. Good classic work from Stoudts. Must try.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ChainGangGuy (3682) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JUN 7, 2007
Appearance: Pours out a bright straw-colored yellow that’s just a touch hazy. The frothy white head formed atop the beer like heavily whipped egg whites.
Smell: The lemony, floral hop aroma is a knockout. A bit of graininess in the nose as well.
Taste: Oo! An abrupt, snap of puckering lemon greets the tongue. Grainy, with some lightly sweet malts in the mix. Finish is customarily dry with a lingering spiciness. All the flavors mesh well.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Clean and Crisp. The two c’s that please.
Drinkability: Yes, I enjoyed it. At work, even! A tasty pilsner from Stoudt’s.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Hoser (365) - Cowtown, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 1, 2007
Bottle from MartinT and thank you . Aroma straw and grass with as quickly dissipating head. The flavour is thin with almost diacetly finish but gets crisper as you get into it. Page 445 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 191 of his 500 Classic Brews to go but not a classic brew by my definition.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Glouglouburp (4558) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 31, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2011 Clear straw-color body with a medium white head. Really nice pils with the balance slightly leaning towards the hops. The hay and honey sweetness flavours are cut short by the more-than-generous amount of tasty dry herbal hops. Long finish. The body is soft and round and the carbonation is perfectly moderate. May not be the crispest pils around but I found it to be an above average classic pils. I find that the rather low average rating of this beer is as hard to justify and explain as G.W.Bush re-election.
