3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to pint at Dutchís. Looks decent; a transparent gold with good carbonation and ample white head. Smells solid; doughy and mildly bitter. Tastes like it smells with a good pilsner snap and pleasant mouthfeel. A great example of the style.

Crisp, light, and very dry. Slightly bitter hoppiness. Very refreshing with a nice finish that fades quickly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Clear pale yellow pour with a huge foamy white head. Lightly spicy nose with a rustic graininess and very light floral hopping. Very delicate. Taste is a little more bland--grainy malt with a dry spiciness, herbal hopping that sits in the back of the mouth through the finish. Medium-bodied and full, with only a bit of carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared at a tasting at the Dancing Camel. Pours murky pale golden with white film and barley, flowers, honeysuckle aroma. Itís a really, really light beer. So light that it hardly has any taste at all. Then, suddenly, it becomes toasty. Texture is smooth, finish is light.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle poured this hazy yellow body, showing lots of bubbles and a thin head. This was an impressive drinker. The nose was very bright and hoppy with zesty grapefruit notes - astringent in a sense as well. For a pilsener, the taste was hop-forward as well, with a satisfying cantaloupe maltiness. In the aftertaste was some yeast and grassy bitterness, making for a very session-able brew altogether.

On tap at Monks, pours clearish gold, thick soapy lacing and head. Notes of flowers, honey, nutty malt, tangy hops. Nice crisp bitterness. This was refreshing to drink.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not bad. Tastes a little like a cheap lager to me, but itís ok. Crisp and refreshing, though not awesome in taste. Moderate head.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Iím not all that keen on the style but it doesnít provide a strong aroma, looks pretty generic, and tastes pretty bland. I guess Iíve never been a big fan of the German Pilsner style. Itís dry and uninteresting in taste. It pours a murky gold. Not much else to say. An all around boring beer to me.

12 oz bottle pours golden with a white. Aroma of malt, yeast and citrus. Taste was not what I was expecting. Nice citrus hop bitterness.
