3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Slipstream (1465) - USA - OCT 21, 2010
Sweet, floral aroma. Light gold pour. Fairly sweet and flavorful for the style, with something a little odd in the interaction between the sugary notes and the hops. Good overall, but not a favorite.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 MaBeer1972 (905) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 14, 2010
This has GOT to be one of the cleanest, clearest tastiest American beers I’ve ever had! A very incredible take on an often under-appreciated style. Do not by any means confuse THIS with your ordinary lager, either European or American. This stuff is very well made. Crystal clear light golden in color with fine bubbly carbonation. Light hop and spicy malt aromas. Flavor is well balanced with sweetness but leaning a bit on the hoppy side, but very clean in the finish. Quite, quite drinkable and satisfying.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MmmcKay (841) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - OCT 11, 2010
Not a bad pils at all. Not great but not bad. Had some really nice bitterness. Lovely hop character. Crisp but not really refreshing. Nice appearance. Clear and well put together.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 drowland (3568) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2010 10/2/10. 12oz bottle. Very clear. Smells like creamy nothingness. Plain slightly spicy flavor. Blah. Why does everything from this brewery suck?
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 badwhale (221) - Bitterville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2010
Bottle to chilled Pilsner glass. Nice amount of white head, decent lacing. Somewhat on the hop side as far as flavor goes, but light bodied, and goes down easy.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (7131) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Bottle from half time. Pours gold with a white head. Pretty bready aroma. Not much hop. Medium body with mild, but chewy carbonation. Flavor is light bready with not a lot of hop - until the malt drains off, and then there is a lot of bitter. A bit peppery, so noble hop. The hop makes up for the bread.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Niko100 (1083) - New York, USA - SEP 21, 2010
Nice amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy color; Aroma of malt, grain, & hops; Flavor of slight sweet malt, hops, grain, and some citrus; Finish is slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Overall, a good pilsner.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Capa (1543) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2010
Really clean pils. Malty grians are the main flavor and aroma profile, here. Has a rounded body due to the malts and not much in the way of a crisp hop bite. Finish is where you get the first real hop presence. Not much flavor overall, but it’s still a good beer.
