3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I think I had this long, long before, in a pre-Ratebeer life. On tap at Philly airport. Poured a clear light gold, nice head. Aroma was lightly of Pils malts, spicy and grassy hops. Flavor matched, good balancing bitterness. Wish the hop flavors had been a bit more pronounced, but a solidly made brew. Very clean.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a very smooth crisp beer. One of the best pils that I’ve had, that wasn’t an imperial pilsner. There are still many that I haven’t tried, especially from Europe, but as far as American microbrews are concerned this is spot on. Has a pale yellow color, clear light texture. Tastes of wheat, barley,, very light hops. Highly recommended if looking for something on the lighter side.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Brown bottle into pilsner glass.
A: Lightly golden brightish yellow with a good finger of jagged, well lasting head. Decent lacing. Carbonation seems to lesson quite a bit after a couple minutes.
S: Definite bready malts with a spicy note that I attribute to the hops but maybe sort of toasty too.
T: Much like the smell but the spicy hop character is much more fleshed out. The heavy bread/toast flavor has not died out though, creating a balance that I find both unusual and pleasant. There is a bottom note that I do not get in the nose, Which I’ll say is pleasantly surprising.
M: Light as expected, but surprisingly "there" with a slight bitter oiliness that turns dry at the finish. Carbonation is a bit light but certainly passable.
O: Impressive! This is what I’ve been enjoying finding in the pilsner style. Straight simple and refreshing. Quite distinctive beer but not much to overcomplicate or muck up the taste. Refreshing as hell but way too good for the lawnmower! Too bad this is so expensive at $12/6 or I’d buy it regularly.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Clear medium amber with a full white head cover, streaks of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that is countered by medium hops on the swallow, with both parts lingering in a medium finish. In one sense, a basic brew, but oh, so very well done. Balanced, low abv, tasty, perfect for relaxing or sessioning. Recommended.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow, two finger head, some lacing and retention. Aroma of hay and Saaz hops. Taste is wonderfully balanced between the noble saaz hop bitter and the light malts. Light bodied, lively bitterness and crisp mouth feel. Finishes slightly bitter and clean with notes of honey, light citrus, wildflowers and grass. This is a great pilsner!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from Lighthouse. It pours a brilliantly clear golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is very bready/malty with light notes of noble hops. The flavor has stronger noble hops, a full body with fat pale malts and a spicy, strong bitterness in the finish. Good stuff. Could be a bit more aromatic.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[on tap at Local 50, PHI airport]
Aroma of hay and fresh, sweet and spicy noble Saaz hops. Clear straw under a persistent white cover and lace. Slightly lagery sulfur together with dry pilsner malt, spicy hops, and an assertive bitterness. Balance is a bit too far towards bitter. Medium-light body, moderate-medium carbonation, lingering bitterness.
