COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full bodied ale has a deep reddish amber color with a thick creamy head. Pungent hop flavors are derived from 3 different varieties of domestically grown hops. This ale finishes on the dry side with a wonderful citrus hop flavor. 6.2% abv

Murky dull brown color not very appetizing looking. Hop profile is also a little rubbing alcohol. Iím not making this sound very good and really this not a great beer. There is some caramel body but you are left with this band aid sort of flavor. Will never understand even using these hops in anything consummable.

Rich aroma of dried leaves, caramel, cashews, and cherries. Hazy copper, thin yellow head. Mouthfeel is rather fizzy. Flavor is dry leaves and few of the nuances found on the nose. Perhaps a bit of dark bread crust and cashews in the end. Didnít quite deliver on the flavor.

Bottle. The first measure of any beer labeled "red" is to see whether itís really red. Well, this is definitely red. Still. Clear. Big, white, poofy head of foam. Malty aroma. Caramel even. Drinks with a definite caramel malt creaminess. Rich with it. Malty. Brown sugar. Good. (#4612, 6/9/2012)

Pint off tap. Copper color rapidly dispersing fine white head. Not getting a lot of nose. Good malt add expected from a red, assertive but not overwhelming hops. A solid, enjoyable red.

Man, all the hops are gone already in this bottle. All thatís left is caramel malt with some bitterness.

Comes out of the bottle a clear, dark coppery amber with a fairly thick, if not too persistent, pale tan head. Fruity aroma is mainly apple with a hint of cherry, plus a malty undertone and a subtle yeasty note. Fruity, malty flavor has a tinny undertone and a grassy hint plus a fair amount of bitterness. Texture has average body and fizziness. Maybe not Stoudtís best, but deserves at least a chance.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a very deep amber with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, bread, light citrus hops, pine and fruit. Flavour of caramel malt, toffee, bread, fruit and light citrus hops. Short, average bitter/spicy finish. Average bodied. A slightly hoppy Amber Ale, decent. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.

Beautiful red hue. Nice white foamy head with good lacing. Hops are nice for a pale ale, actually feels a bit like an IPA. Solid offering from Stoudts.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark reddish copper with a large, creamy, off white head. The nose has papery hops and a solid biscuit and cracker background. The flavor leans a little to the malt side with bread and biscuit notes, but there is a little earthy and piney hoppiness. Reminds of an English pale ale. Lots of soft carbonation leading to a medium finish. Nice session brew.
