A full bodied ale has a deep reddish amber color with a thick creamy head. Pungent hop flavors are derived from 3 different varieties of domestically grown hops. This ale finishes on the dry side with a wonderful citrus hop flavor. 6.2% abv

Pours a clear brownish reddish color with a tan head. Aroma of syrupy malt with a slightly citrus peppery note. Taste is syrupy sweet with notes of toasted nut. The balance leans a bit more to the malty than the hops but it is still well balanced and it favors the side I like. Good local beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear reddish with a dimpled off-white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, but mild. Nothing special in taste, even compared to their stock APA. Very drinkable, though. $2/12ozs

Reddish orange, nice white head. Smells nice - grapefruit, molasses, and caramel. Pretty tasty, too - nice mix of fairly prominent grapefruit and some bready, toasty caramel malt. Simple and tasty.

Really nice red ale that pour copper-red with a nice bit of froathy head and a lice that is sticky. Smells sweet of high hops and a little bite. Taste is the same.

12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium amber-hued body with just under a half inch of off-white suds.

Smell: Bready, toasty malts with a low, low, vague sweetish quality to them with citrusy, herbaceous hops.

Taste: Bready malts, some noted toastiness, and with just a scarce shred of malty sweetness. Small hint of stone fruit prior to the lemony, citrusy hops with a sound bitterness, and a bit of background earthiness. Closes out with a prolonged, dry, bitterish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: Revel Red is a Decent Red.
