Aroma is not strong but pleasantly malty. From the bottle it pours a lovely dark brownish gold with a nice thick head. Flavor is richly malty and has a smoky undertone. Smooth and easy to drink, it has no bitterness in the flavor or aftertaste. A pleasantly drinkable ale.

$1.49 at Total Wine (& More) in Kennesaw, GA. Appearane: Pours a clear, cherry wood hued body with a thin, though lasting off-white head. Smell: Sunbaked biscuity malts, primarily, with a rather understated, light herbal hoppiness. Taste: Slightly sweet biscuity maltiness with a hint of fruit and even nuts. Again, the hops, with a floral, rose petal taste, remain light. Finish with a brief tea-like bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: Makes for light, refreshing drinking!

Big metallic finish, big white head, great lacing. Very watery, hot much for hops and malt, drinkable but not great.

Pours a ruddy brown color with a loose soapy head. Light biscuity malt aromas, not much hop presence. Decent doughy malt taste, but kind of a bland finish. I had Avery’s ESB the other day and it had a fuller taste than this one. Looks nice though.

Tap. Amber color with a malty aroma. Slightly fruity taste with a malt overtone. Decent session beer.

Bottle at Mondial 2007.
Clear amber with decent creamy tanned head.
Fresh, clean malts well composed together with earthy, slightly raw hoppy character.
Medium bodied, slightly oily malts, soft, sticky palate. Bitters are gentle yet they do good work balancing this solid session ale. Recommended.

Not a very bitter ESB at all. Light, amber color was appealing, though after the first half of the bottle, the taste became rather bland
