Dec 31, 2006 Updated: Mar 17, 2008Draft. Aroma is hoppy, almost smelling the bitterness. Very red look with thin head. Good flavor that is hoppy and well balanced with slight carbonation. Smooth and a good palate.
Update: Cask - Had this at WhichBrew where the brewers brought down a cask of this. Really nice hoppy aroma. The flavor was so soft and seemed to melt on your tongue with the hoppiness , which was light but flavorfull, performed spirals in the mouth. So freaking good.

Dec 23, 2006 Bottle from Total Wine, THE place for beer in town. Pours a ruby red color with a thin head. Has a nice sweet malt flavor with a blast of hops. Nice tasting, but not the best ESB I have had.

Dec 11, 2006 A decently balanced esb. I found myself sticking with the lady at the inviational just cause there were too dam many peolpe there, and the stoudt’s taps had shorter lines. Not overly hoppy and goes down nicely with knockwurst.
Cheapdark needs to get out more...goat face?? yikes.

Dec 8, 2006 Updated: Dec 9, 2006Who’s that lady? Check out the flowers in her hair and.... if it was possible, has an attractive goat face like a female ram. Brown 12 oz bottle. Nothing about the pour is special except it is a medium brownish color, not scarlet as expected. Smells like a hint of candy apple or cotton candy. Flavor commences with a kind of hoppy or malt flavor then almost fades into a hint chocolaty smoothness. Finish is not offensive but lingers, tho not bitter, with a little hops malt roastyness. An oily texture?

Dec 4, 2006 Amber color with a bit of a haze to it. Moderate level of visible carbonation with a residual beige crown and some light lacing. Aroma is mostly rich caramel malt. Flavor is malty (lightly roasted/caramel), slightly earthy and fruity, and has some balancing hop bitterness in the finish. Moderate level of sweetness. Medium body and pretty smooth on the palate. A decent ESB...

Nov 28, 2006 Nice amber mahogany color with a mild fruity-malty aroma. Pleasant fruity-malty flavor with mild botterness and a slightly metallic finish.

Nov 17, 2006 Aroma is mostly sweet caramelly malt with a bit of earthy hops. Initial malty flavor is good with pungeant malts but isnt backed up by a strong hop profile. Palate is pretty dry and fades fast. On its own, its decent, but for an esb its pretty average considering it lacks body and fruity, floral hoppiness.
