Jul 17, 2006 Total Wine, Tampa, Fl - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, light off hite beady head, sparkles. Musty aroma of stale corn and wort and overripe vegetables. Flavor has some of the same vegetable notes with some subtle bitter notes to redeem it. Hint of candied sugar sweetness in the back end. Decently thick mouthfeel.

Jul 6, 2006 The lady looked great; dark amber brew,light tan head, fine bubbles formed along the sides of the glass. The flavor was strong and hoppy with a lasting, slightly bitter aftertaste. Not as smooth as my idea of a classic Bitter/ESB

Jun 19, 2006 nice amber color. half inch foamy offwhite head. smells of sweet toffee, brown sugar, somewhat dry as well. it reminds me of christmas for some reason.
the flavor is slightly sweet and hardly bitter. there is a mustiness to the taste. smooth to the tongue. dry aftertaste. nice beer. perhaps a little more flavor and this would be superb

Jun 17, 2006 Medium -dark amber with a off-white smallish head. Musty English hops, grassy, caramel aroma. Smooth, caramel taste, slight bitterness, dry finish.

Jun 15, 2006 Poured a clear copper hue with a white head which dimisinshed rather slowly. Had a nice malty aroma with mainly bread like notes mixed with a nice honey balance and a floral hop background. Flavor was mildly sweet with honey notes a pleasnt hop bite which was mild and not too overpowering. Drink was really easy and smooth. It was rather mild but still good.

Jun 13, 2006 Aroma is malty, but ever so slightly toasty..warm smelling really whcih gives it a baked bread smell. Some herbal accented hops (I assume it is hops) are also present. Body is a rich amber and holds a thumb thick tan head that is mostly lasting. Sweet but subtle malt is even in intenisty from start to finish. Light hops ride atop and balance the malt nicely. It’s kind of plain, but in a nice, easy drinking way that I find enjoyable. The ever so slightly toasted bread/biscuit notes are just damn comforting.
