bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Apr 19, 2006 Updated: Jul 9, 2006Grassy, nutty and earthy hop aromas. The pour has a diminishing head and looks clear dark umber. Solid hop bitter notes, wrapped inside of light fruit and caramel. Finish is nicely bitter and crisply dry-hopped. Good, solid brew here. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 16, 2006 Updated: Aug 26, 2007I was surprised to see that I had not rated this one yet as I have had quite a bit of it over the last year or two. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby chestnut color with a small tan head. The aroma is fruity, sour and has a bit of nut and moderate fruity hops. The flavor is sour nut with a tangy and lightly fruity character and a dry hoppy finish. Tasty if a little uninspired. 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 9, 2006 Pours out a nice amber color with a small head. Flavor fairly nice, but needs a bit more zing to it. Not to bad ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Apr 8, 2006 Interesting. Red/brown colored pour. Taste is sweet and interesting. Malty and slightly hoppy, easy to drink too. Pretty good beer, seems to be a fairly solid brewery. thebeertourist (2751), Oslo, Norway Apr 8, 2006 Bottle. Clear copper-coloured with an average, not very long-lasting, off-white head. Aroma is predominantly malty balanced by some citrus hoppiness. Sweet toffee flavours with offsetting bitterness. Good carbonation, light to medium body. Well-made, but not memorable. Cappadonna (104), Delray Beach, Florida, USA Apr 7, 2006 Reddish-brown pour with light-brown head. Sweet and malty aroma. The flavor is very true to form- nicely balanced and finishes malty with a hint of bitterness. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 6, 2006 12 oz bottle. Deep copper/amber colour, thick tan head. Aroma is quite woody and spicy. Sweet caramel malt, very leafy and tobaccoish. Flavour is very sweet. Caramel, toast and lots of brown sugary sweetness. Leafy hop flavour but it’s totally overwhelmed by the sticky malts. Slightly nutty. Earthy hop finish. It’s okay, but I’d take a Boomer’s Red over this any day. harmfuldrunk (288), New Jersey, USA Apr 3, 2006 this beer is rich and has s good smooth little water taste too it, with slight bitterness. nice hops good for a beer that only has 5% alcohol.
