A nice copper ale with some floral hops aroma and a slight spiciness. The taste is full and refreshing with som pepper notes.

03.23.05 12oz bottle dated 05.29.05 Dark copper pour with smallish head that quickly fades. Smells earthy, toffee, vanilla, tea. I smell tea a lot in beer...wonder if that has anything to do with drinking a lot of tea? Mild malts are pushed to stick with floral and sharp hops. Lightly floral all around. It’s a quaffer, but ESB is just not usually a thrill from a bottle.

A pleasant malty taste up front, followed by a strong bitter bite and finishes with a slightly bitter/malty flavor. Average looking, but beautiful tasting. A good ESB.

Poured a copper red color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus yeastiness, vanilla, butterscotch, and caramel. Sweet caramel maltiness, earthy, citrus fruitiness, and a dry, lightly bitter, hop finish.

Reddish amber, off white head. Floral and perfumey hop aroma, nice malt backing. Mildly malty flavor with some earthy hops in the flavor, slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pleasant and pretty enjoyable.

Tan-brown pour with a small white head, floral aroma, mild malty flavor with a bitter finish. Not bad, not great.

On draft. Pours brown white a small white head. Malty aroma. Dry cardboard like taste. Malt is more up front than the hops making this beer not that bitter. I was kind of upset with this one, I have liked all the other Stoudts I have sampled.

Pour a hazy reddish color with small head lace. Malty aroma with some hops thrown in. Very well balanced flavor. Quite a good esb.
