goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 22, 2004 Poured a reddish copper color with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and a little metalic. Flavor is mildly fruity with a hint of hop in the background and light bitter finish. Fairly smooth and clean. duke33 (56), Eldersburg, Maryland, USA Dec 21, 2004 Kind of weak in my opinion...highly effervescent...but too much so. Also, i felt the hops were quite lacking. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 7, 2004 Bottle via DocLock: Reddish amber hue with fading small head and some lace. The aroma has notes of sweet and biscuity malts, aromatic and bitter hops, chalky and dusty esters, slight apple nose. The taste starts with a smooth bitter note with an balance of malt. Detected some fruit and bready undertones as well. Finish has that "hard water" quality to it with a weaker bitter profile than expected. The feel is too watery for my taste but does provide the basic elements of an ESB. A quaffable brew with needs more depth of palate to compete with the best of the genre. shoeshineboy (81), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Dec 5, 2004 good easy drinking bitter. Plus, the lady on the bottle is quite the vixen... HAHAHA Jine (889), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Nov 10, 2004 This lady has a deep amber color and a delicate aroma. A slightly sweet malt taste with a fresh hop kick. A more than adequate ESB.
*dedicated to my friend Scarlett for being the only person I know whose name is a color* scraff (1921), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Oct 27, 2004 Clear amber, fizzy off-white head. Nose holds notes of florals, caramel, biscuit, with a slight hint of nut and earth. Crisp fruity hops balance nicely with the sweet malt. Light to medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, dry fruity finish. An decent session ale in my book....
roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2004 Brown/amber color with offwhite head. Aroma is a little citrusy and malty. Smooth taste, not as much flavor as i expected, with some bitterness at the end. Not fabulous, but not bad either. beerslayer (753), New Jersey, USA Oct 10, 2004 This is an ok ESB. Malty, lighty bitter, and slightly hoppy, Finishes clean, dry, and light.
