draft, one of my favorites. Copper/reddish in color, typical Stoudts brew--well balanced, good flavors of malt/hops. Light to medium body, medium sweetness, medium bitterness on the finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Overall average ale. No sign of hops, and something about the finish I didn't like. Drinkable, decent malty, kind of floral aroma and taste, but I probably won't order again

Red copper colored beer. Hardly any head. Mild fruitiness in the nose. Some malts too. Dry taste. A bit empty. Notes of hops in the aftertaste. Nothing special.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 9/28/2012. Pours lightly hazy orange copper color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some good foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of caramel, orange, biscuit, nuttiness, toast, herbal, grass, and light earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, biscuit, toast, nuttiness, orange, herbal, floral, grapefruit, grass, and light earth. Lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, and citrus on the finish for a good bit. Very well balanced with nice amount of toasty flavors. No cloying flavors on the finish at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming noticed on the finish. Overall this is a damn nice ESB! Very flavorful and well balanced; very smooth and drinkable. No complaints at all, really enjoyed this.

Nose is soft malts. Taste is the same with English hops providing a nice bitterness. The mouthfeel is fairly thin a is the finish.

Pours a nice auburn color with a foamy tan head. Lightly bitter in taste with a slight caramel, hoppy, bitter aftertaste. This was an enjoyable offering.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours an amber color with a really thick head. Slight sweet smell to it with a bit of malty undertones. Not a lot flavor to it - some maltiness that fades quickly. Meh.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pouts a rich amber brown with off white head. Aroma of warm roasted malt and earthy Bready overtones. Taste is smooth yet watered down. Hint of what they are going for without the flavor impact. Close but not there.
