Rich amber body, large off-white head, fairly dense lacing. Pale malts, touch of toffee, light fruits. A bit sweet, thin in the middle, light bodied, soft finish.

Tap. Pours clear amber with thick, creamy off-white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is toasted, cookie, and caramel malts, figs, floral hops, and light woody notes. Flavor is smooth with dry, bready malts, dark fruit esters, woody notes, and light floral hops, and some light funk; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Stoudtís Scarlet Lady ESB has a thin, off-white head, some sheen of lacing left on the glass, and a brilliant, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is of brown bread crust and dank fruit. Taste is of brown bread crust, some sugar, a little bitterness, and tannin. The mouthfeel is light to medium, and Stoudtís Scarlet Lady ESB finishes dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable. The tannin aspect holds it back a bit, but itís still very good and worth checking out. RJT

12 ounce bottle. Served in a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/amber color with a half inch off-white head that stayed around for a little while. Thereís also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like tart apples, herbal/floral hops and some caramel malt. It tastes like herbal/floral hops, toasted and bready malt, tart apples, and some nuts and tea. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think itís a solid beer, itís definitely worth a try.

Pours a clear amber/caramel color wit a medium tan head. Aroma has light caramel/roast notes and very mild floral hops. Flavor follows suit...some dry leaves and tea...biscuity...earthy bitterness. mouthfeel is light and the finish is caramel/toffee/dry leaves and bitter/dry.

Bottle to glass shaker. Pours a couldy amber color. This might be skunked, I donít know. Kinda bitter and a bit on the too much carbonation side. Some hop flavors, and a sorta orange peel twang. Different.

Pours woody-red-brown with an off-white head. Scent is mildly malty, faint caramel... Taste is straightforward and plain.. Mild hop bitter, weak caramel.... Tastes OK, but weak and watery... Forgettable.

draft, one of my favorites. Copper/reddish in color, typical Stoudts brew--well balanced, good flavors of malt/hops. Light to medium body, medium sweetness, medium bitterness on the finish.

Overall average ale. No sign of hops, and something about the finish I didn't like. Drinkable, decent malty, kind of floral aroma and taste, but I probably won't order again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red copper colored beer. Hardly any head. Mild fruitiness in the nose. Some malts too. Dry taste. A bit empty. Notes of hops in the aftertaste. Nothing special.
