I'm not one for an overly bitter beer, and this one tasted good. The bitter was there, but not overpowering. Smelled and looked good, went down pleasingly.

Dark copper in colour, slightly off-white head. Very floral smell with some detectable pepper. Nothing in the taste at all. Very band contrary to the smell. This must have something to do with Stoudt's....their beer seems very bland. Too bad that the beer doesn't taste as good as it looks and smells!

Hazy copper color with a small off white head , mild hop flowery and caremel malt aroma. Caremel malty flavor with a nice mild hop bitterness, medium body with a creamy soft mouthfeel, fishes with a very dry bitterness, not a bad ESB, IMHO not the best, still drinkable.

Decent head from the pour. Frothy and lingers for a little while. Initial aroma of black cherry? Hops present also. Excellent orange/red color. Bitter taste that is seems slightly off to me. Maybe a little to flowery. Mild bitter finish with a strangely floral aftertaste that lingers a little to long. A different and good brew but I donít think that I would want to drink it all the time

I didnít find this to be especially bitter - in fact I really enjoyed drinking it, and I donít usually enjoy the ESBís. Nice balance of hops and spice.

Pretty amber color with a thin off-white head and minimal lace. Mildly bitter aroma. Not as bitter as some but does have a nicely sweet malt presence. An interesting ESB to say the least.

Beautiful deep amber/orange color with a creamy foam head. Suprisingly heavy body with hop and malt both evident in the aroma. I got some nuttiness in the flavor, along with heavy malt. The finish was a snap of hop that ended quickly. A decent beer that I would drink again.

WOW! The Marris Otter really jumps out in the aroma. Slight hops in the nose. Copper body with a quickly diminishing head. Smooth on the tongue with a nice, malty finish. First Stoudts brew and Iím impressed. Very malty.
