12 oz bottle-mahogany red color w/almost no head. Burnt malt aroma. Flavors of burnt malt & hops, really way too much hop for this style. Maybe some weak caramel flavor. No real trace of malt or sweetness to it. Seemed out of balance to me, not real crazy @ this one. One of the poorer efforts I’ve seen from this brewer.

Pours dark amber, hint of red, with a medium white head. Aroma is very malty, caramel, some chocolate perhaps, very sweet. Flavor is similar, with a smooth finish. Very tasty, well balanced.

Pours a dirty amber with a light off white head. Nice malty sweetness on the nose followed by the bitterness of the hops. Pretty much the same for the taste. Actually seems a little out of balance. All said, nice easy drinking. Nothing special but nothing bad.

This is a great American representation of the style....light, smooth, malty. I recommend this one.

Bottle from Sams. Clear orange-copper pour with small off-white head. Very English-tasting but not very bitter. Not much bitter hop presence. More grain and sweet malt flavors. Very easy to drink, though. I’d have again with a burger.

12 oz bottle. I have wanted to try this beer since I saw it at the Stone 9th anniv party and skipped over it. Finally had the chance. Decent malty aromas with hints of fruit and caramel. Similar flavors with some hoppiness on the finish. Not too bad.

Pours ruby amber into a shaker. Fluffy white head with medium retention. Dry caramel malts and hops.
