Commercial Description:
This authentic English-style ale is brewed from the finest imported Marris Otter malt for arich, reddish-copper color and full, malty palate. the generous use of English hops balances the regal, sweet maltiness and imparts a softly perfumed aroma.

Draft. Aroma is hoppy, almost smelling the bitterness. Very red look with thin head. Good flavor that is hoppy and well balanced with slight carbonation. Smooth and a good palate. Update: Cask - Had this at WhichBrew where the brewers brought down a cask of this. Really nice hoppy aroma. The flavor was so soft and seemed to melt on your tongue with the hoppiness , which was light but flavorfull, performed spirals in the mouth. So freaking good.

12 oz. Clear copper-brown with a small creamy head that lasts well. Spicy caramel aroma. Spicy caramel front has nice bittering balance. Slight tart fruit and grain flavors add a nice depth. Dry cocoa on the balanced finish. Smooth palate is medium-bodied and watery. Great session ESB.

Taste 7/8 bottle from 4/8. Looks: Body is copper with white foam. Aroma: Caramel, citrus, grain, lemon, mild yeasty cheese. Taste: Light to medium body. Nice blend of mild flavors. Finishes with a good mellow spice. Covers palate well. Doesn’t go over the top. Great session beer.

Original rating at the brewpub: Dark red. Delicately hoppy. Light on the palate. RE-RATE, from bottle: darker red than I expected (crimson even) with a nice sticky head. Caramel candy, almost chewy character, even appley and an orchard-based hoppiness. Very good.

Very good. Smooth and creamy, with mild carbonation. A very authentic english bitter. The floral scent is outstanding.

Very smooth, mild medium body, a little bitter but it added a nice touch to the aftertaste, didn’t keep a good head, but a great beer

A wonderful ESB. A pleasant malty taste up front, followed by a strong bitter bite (what you expect in an ESB) and finishes with a slightly bitter/malty flavor. Average looking, but beautiful tasting...Cheers
