raymow (723), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2002 Nice colr & taste. I'll definitely buy it again! jason (1405), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 31, 2006 Updated: Mar 17, 2008Draft. Aroma is hoppy, almost smelling the bitterness. Very red look with thin head. Good flavor that is hoppy and well balanced with slight carbonation. Smooth and a good palate.
Update: Cask - Had this at WhichBrew where the brewers brought down a cask of this. Really nice hoppy aroma. The flavor was so soft and seemed to melt on your tongue with the hoppiness , which was light but flavorfull, performed spirals in the mouth. So freaking good. nearbeer (917), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 29, 2007 12 oz. Clear copper-brown with a small creamy head that lasts well. Spicy caramel aroma. Spicy caramel front has nice bittering balance. Slight tart fruit and grain flavors add a nice depth. Dry cocoa on the balanced finish. Smooth palate is medium-bodied and watery. Great session ESB. obxdude10 (1371), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 19, 2001 Very smooth, mild medium body, a little bitter but it added a nice touch to the aftertaste, didn't keep a good head, but a great beer Braudog (3453), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Aug 31, 2002 Updated: Jul 8, 2007Original rating at the brewpub: Dark red. Delicately hoppy. Light on the palate. RE-RATE, from bottle: darker red than I expected (crimson even) with a nice sticky head. Caramel candy, almost chewy character, even appley and an orchard-based hoppiness. Very good.
