Skeegle (312), USA Mar 28, 2008 I really liked this chica. Very toned and balanced. Not hoppy at all, but I find that in many ESBs too much hoppy isn’t necessarily a good thing, as it usually just upsets their delicate balance instead of adding bang to the gun. The word pleasant comes to mind. Not exciting or Wow!, but would I do it again? Well I don’t know.
DrDavid (116), , Vermont, USA Aug 19, 2008 (Bottle). Very nice and drinkable. Malty aroma. Copper color with small off white head. Relatively mild flavor, but with some malt sweetness and a slight hops bite. djaquay (5), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 9, 2008 bottle, poured cold; dark red/orange w/tan head; light carbonation, smooth mouth feel; nicely bitter, some citrus; very little lace The_Captain (280), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle - Light red ruby hew small off white head. Sweet malt aroma with a hops tinge. There is a dryness in the body though mild. Some slight hop bitterness in the finish but a good beer. Not sure if I would push my luck with more than a couple of these, drinkable. LilBeerDoctor (441), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 2, 2008 Bottle, best by 9/15/2008. Pours a clear brown/amber, with a thick light tan head. Aroma of toasted malt and sweet fruity jam. Flavor of toasty toast with a sweet malty finish. Classic ESB, very tasty. Quite enjoyable and super drinkable. fredandboboflo (440), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 2, 2008 Bottle, best by 9/15/08. Aroma of toasted/slightly charred malt, some grass. Flavor light bitter, light sweet, graininess, well done. Light bodied, bordering on thin. Ok.
