heemer77 (3609), North Liberty, Iowa, USA May 11, 2008 Deep copper body with a light khaki head. The aroma is lightly malty with some toffee. There is also some old library book character. The taste has some light toffee and iced tea. There is also some raisin that comes out after drinking. A nice ESB.
Hoss (600), Florida, USA Jul 17, 2008 A very nice American version of the English ESB. The US touches of a bit more hop bite adds to the brew. You could make a real nice evening with this at your local zappafan99 (213), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 12, 2008 Taste 7/8 bottle from 4/8. Looks: Body is copper with white foam. Aroma: Caramel, citrus, grain, lemon, mild yeasty cheese. Taste: Light to medium body. Nice blend of mild flavors. Finishes with a good mellow spice. Covers palate well. Doesn’t go over the top. Great session beer. Suttree (2265), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 12, 2008 Red, or some sot of reddish color. Foamy, loose white head. Bready, toasty, caramelly aroma. Flavor is crisp and resiny, almost verging on pale ale territiry. Pretty tasty stuff. moseslikesbeer (153), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of hops and a little malt.Light ruby in color with a thin tan head. Lots of carbonation. Very light grapefruit taste with a hint of malt. A little too tangy in the finish for a bitter but a nice drinker. doogie (24), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 Pours reddish brown with an off-white head. It has a light aroma of sweet malt. I think the flavor is a nice balance of malt and hops for an interesting taste. It is smooth and not too much carbonation like some ESB’s can have. A clean finish with that nice hint of bitterness.
A nice beer.
