| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Cloudy orange, thin white head. Sweet and sour aroma - not "sweet’n’sour", like the sauce you get a cheesy Chinese joints, but nicely pronounced notes of sweet and sour. Flavor is pineapple and orange followed by some herbal notes. Nice woodsy notes, as well, plus a rather pungent rosemary (?) note. Dry, woodsy finish. Chipper (185), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet then bitter, with a fruity blast! Solid beer! douqep (8), USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 16, 2008 This is the closest US brewers have come to Blegian beer. Instead of making a Belgian-style beer, they went straight for the real thing somehow. Really strong, like some one tipped some whiskey into it, but true flavor to a traditional Belgian triple. Well balanced and satisfying....just don’t drink too many of them in one sitting. jrmac (213), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a decent white foam. Smells like a triple. Notes of hops, fruit, and alcohol. Taste sweet at first with a good finish with just the right hint of bitterness. High at 9%, but it is hidden. kiefdog (1586), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2008 12oz bottle from Racetrack Liquors (Tampa). Pours a deep, orange-ambwer with a thin tannish head that dissipates quickly providing little lacing on the glass. Smells sweet with notes of honey, caramel, maple syrup, phenol, and fresh nuts. Slightly tangy on initial tasting, notes of honey, caramel, spice are present with a slight bitterness on finish. Alcohol taste comes through at times and is not well-hidden but is not overbearing. Reasonably well-done tripel style ale.
