Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Hazy orange color. Full body and lingering head. Lots of fruit and spice flavors.

12 oz, bottled 11/08/2007. Hazy peachy-bronze with a three-finger meringue on top. Juicy Fruit chewing gum aroma. Initial flavor is the same: apricot-mango-banana-clove bubblegum. Some alcohol, apples, and minty herb show up at the finish. Soft, medium body is a little alcohol-tingly, and a little sticky.

Not as good as the Tripels I’ve had from Belgium but a pretty good attempt at one. Pours an orange color topped with a thin head. Some lacing ends up on the glass but appearance wise it just doesn’t look as good as some of the Belgian Tripels. The aroma is quite strong with banana, citrus and vanilla and all of it appearing to be quite sweet. Not really lacking in the flavor department either. It starts with a spicy citrus flavor with a yeasty wheaty taste mixed in then turns slightly sour and alcoholic. It does seem a little like a stronger Hefeweizen but it’s a tad too sweet. The alcohol is hidden pretty well though and there isn’t much of an aftertaste at all. The texture is rich and syrupy but I’d like a fuller better balanced mouthfeel. Overall it’s a good beer but it’s hard to rate it any higher when there are so many better options in the style.

Tap at Stoudts. Cloudy amber gold with white head. This triple was rich, creamy, and silky smooth with plenty of spiciness and flavor. Moderate sweetness balanced nicely with the hops. Well into medium bodied. Alcohol perfectly integrated. Was the best thing we had that day at Stoudts.

i find the body moderate as beer goes. the clove flavor is gratefully refined with quality sweetness. equally appreciative is that this flavor is truly earthy and moderate. the alcohol is not really too warming and the fruit flavors are muted. a semi fizzy yet swirl of bubbles rises from the bottom of the glass as an interesting finish to the pour. a light foamy head as of plastic. the yeast does a fine job of doing as it should for this type of brew. it is one of the more pleasant beers of this variety. in this offering careful moderation which creates good balance is the key to something that in turn is really quite good. as i am not really a fan of the style.

Not great, decent triple. a little over priced. Aroma of apples and cloves. Flavor of strong yeast a very zesty citrus, dark fruits. Fizzy. Alcohol slightly present. Sharper carbonation.

Bottle. I thought I had rated this but oh well here it goes. This beer has become a steady warm weather beer for me but I am enjoying this on a dark rainy day. Beautiful golden body with thin head. Aroma is yeasty and earthy with light tropical fruits. Flavor is light spices and fruit, earthy and a medium to heavy mouthfeel. Easily quenches whatever mood I’m in for a nice Belgian Tripel.

This was good. However at 15 a sixer, dont think I would buy it again. An okay take on one of my favorite styles.... lots of clove and yeasty flavors. Mouthfeel was nice, maybe a bit cloying. Not terrible, Not great... just okay... nice beer for 1 or 2. I am sure the remaining 4 will be drunk within a month.
