Malicya (21), Charny, Quebec, Canada Aug 23, 2007 Nice spicy aroma. We can taste the spices cereals, but the Alcohol is killing most of the flavors of the beer. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2007 Updated: Aug 16, 2007Quite a nice triple. Delicate aroma, floral and spicy. color is golden yellow and pours with a nice head, that holds for a while, but does dissipate. flavor has some alcoholic warmth and is rather dry. some nice spiciness. quite a drinkable, medium palate. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Aug 14, 2007 Updated: Oct 21, 2007Full-bodied and tasty; solid well made addition to the style; vanilla flavored and robust! Very nice. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2007 These american abbey tripel imitations really make the Abbey Tripel style quite common. The abbey tripels come in two types; the in your face and the refined gentle. This one is the in your face. Cannot hold a candle to Grimbergen Blonde or Chimay White. From a growler that was filled at the Beer Store in Moon. Sweet strong ale aroma, big foamy head. Initial palate is flat, no carbonation. Very alcoholic. A little rude and unrefined. Color is off yellow and I think I can see some haze. If not, I’ll see some haze after this growler is gone. Finish is lingering volatile alcohol. Sometimes I think many american tripels should be reclassified as malt liquor. mcbackus (725), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2007 Updated: Nov 27, 2008bottle:pours a copper colour with a small off white head. aroma is sweet malts, sugar, spice, citrus and some breadiness. flavour is spices and sweet sugar malts, finishes dry and sticky.

new rate 7/3/7/3/16 DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2007 Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. The initial taste threw me.Did not like it cold.As it warmed it got better. The nose has malts, bread and spices.Flavor is doughy, cereal and spicy. The alcohol comes in on the rnd and warms the belly. The finish was alcohol induced, spicy yet dry. glennmastrange (809), hobe sound, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2007 Bottle. Light bread notes for the malt, perfume and citrus for the hops, with the usual musty smell for the yeast. In the background I noted banana, clove and freshly cut wood. Color is a clear orangy gold and the head is small, fizzy and fully diminishing. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic and the long finish is moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light/medium, between dry and watery, and the carbonation is fizzy. I poured two glasses from one bottle, one with the sediment included and one without. I noted the pour without was more citrusy and tart, and the one with sediments was much more mellow and a bit more complex in the taste.
