jon112981 (327), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Jun 10, 2007 Tap. Very deep orange color with a white head. Aroma is very much of alcohol and yeast. Very sweet fruit flavors. Classic clove taste was present as well. HOPSHUNTER (376), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 9, 2007 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Deep orange brown color almost no head in my glass. All I could smell was alcohol. The taste was suprising, I was expecting straight alcohol but whhat I got was more like sweet apple cake. It had a nice feel in the mouth and throat and the carbonation was moderate. Pretty decent beer overall. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Jun 4, 2007 Darkish copper color with not much head. Aroma is a honeyed sweetness with a good deal of alcohol on the nose. Light palate for a heavy beer. Taste was generally sweet, with very little yeast character present. Just a basic triple, with the alcohol being a bit too noticable. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 3, 2007 Bottle at Mondial de la Bière (Montréal). Dark gold body with a good white foamy head. Aroma and taste are rather hoppy. It carries nice fruity and yeasty notes. Ends with a good bittersweet finish. Well balanced. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA Jun 1, 2007 Rated 12/29/06: Great beer, and a rather good representation of the Tripel. Fruity aroma along with some sweet and sour, rather typical. Beautiful light orange pour with a nice fluffy head that stays and some decent lacing. Mouthfeel is upfront and crisp with a nice smooth finish, the alcohol is noticeable but in a really pleasant way. Flavor is fruity with a medium yeastiness. Mildly spiced, wish this was a touch more dominant. Sour apples keeps coming to mind. Nice one. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA May 30, 2007 Pours a darker gold with debris. Light fruit on the nose. Taste of slight fruit finished with a big and lingering spice. A little warm on the finish. A little too much spice for me. Overall it’s ok. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA May 29, 2007 Pours medium-dark yellow color. Aroma of cloves, cardamom, spices. Medium thin mouthfeel with ample carbonation. Flavors of cookie-like malt backed up by alcohol and some mintiness. Medium-dry finish. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA May 15, 2007 A very worthy attempt of a Belgian style, and its good. But it still lack the over all yeast and spices that makes this style stand out. Medium malts and minimal hops. its actually gives a clean taste which is uncharacteristic of Belgian
