TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Mar 10, 2007 bottle from trade with drewbeerme. Thanks Andrew! hazy orange with a small, well carbonated white head. Nose and flavors are sweet and spicy. Some melon, grapefruit, oak, pepper, corn flakes (and syrup), alcohol, and yeast. NIce, but missing a little bit at the end. Balance just seems a little off. Still. a nice american adaptation. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 9, 2007 Just had a 25oz bottle of this from 2001, I found it in a variety case in a local beer distributor. it is called the gormet family of beers. The triple really mellowed out and was amazing unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Mar 8, 2007 12oz bottle. crystal clear, golden orange, no head. malt aroma. sweet hoppy finish. great american tripel patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 1, 2007 bottle - Pours dark amber with a moderate head. Citrus, yeast, and malt aroma. The flavor is sweet with some mild spice and citrus. Medium bodied and rather lively on the palate, it goes down easily with a warming 9% abv. TheBeerBaron (218), Florida, USA Feb 24, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy organe color with quick fading head. Awesome aroma of citrus, corriander, and clove. Light and lively pallete a bit too spicy on the tongue though. Sweet alcohol flavor with raisincitris and honey. I imagine this is similar to mead. Sweet and strong, not at all bitter. But a little too sweet OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Feb 21, 2007 12 oz bottle courtesy Sammy, bottled 03-03-2005. Hazy dark amber colour with a fully diminishing frothy off-white head. Heavy caramel and citrus aroma with spicy and yeasty notes. Citrus and candy sugar flavours, plus yeast and some light medicinal phenols and alcohol that distract but aren’t necessarily unpleasant. Medium bodied, syrupy mouthfeel. Sweetish dark tripel and I guess I prefer my tripels paler and drier. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 15, 2007 Updated: Mar 22, 2007Pours a bright golden color with a big head. Smells nice, yeasty and bready with slight fruit and sweetness. NIce creamy mouthfeel as I have gotten used to with this style. I think they did a good job representing this style. It won’t knock your socks off but it’s still very good. Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Feb 14, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Adrian910ss: Poured a medium golden color ale with a small white bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of sweet malt with some alcohol. Taste is way too sweet for the style with some warming alcohol which didn’t really fit in there. Body was about average with some medium to low carbonation. Overall, I thought this beer was definitely off the style and way too sweet with some burning alcohol.
