COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Pours a caramel color with a white head. Sent of belgian yeast and spices. Has a pleasent mouth feel. Very nice tasting beer but seemed to be missing that normal belgain complexity.

Pours a nice orange color with a good head. The aroma is yeasty and spicey--cloves and coriander smells. The mouthfeel is a little thin but not terrible. The flavors follow the aroma with plenty of bread tastes that are highlighted by notes of citrus and spice.

This one came straight fresh from the brewer. Definite citrus and spice on the nose, as it pours a hazy caramel, with a large creamy dreamsicle head... very nice retention and lacing. Lots of citrus and sweet malt/caramel, with integrated spice hops and mild peppered astringency. Very warming mouthfeel... alcoholic. It opens up extremely well as the beer warms, giving way to clove overtones and canteloupe hues. Nice brew here. Complex and indicative of style.

In the bottle at the Brickskeller. Pours a Juicy-Juice purple pink amber with no head at all. The extremely thin carbonation bubbles are long lasting to the end of the beer. This does not seem to fit the style of a Tripel, but it’s a darn good beer nonetheless. Has an oakey fruity aroma. Smells like marzipan. This has some heat to it- big alcohol burn. The sweetness is pronounced, but not dominant. In the daylight, this beer has more of an ice tea appearance. It ends with a drying finish that gets quite medicinal. When swirled with the residual yeast in the bottle, this becomes a glorious looking yellowy amber with a yellow off white head. The moral to the story is don’t let the waitress pour your beer for you or you’ll miss the yeast flavor and appearance.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with Biegaman. Murky orange with a decent white diminishing head. Sweet candy malt and somewhat herbal/bitter spicy banana and fruit aroma, some alcohol, tons of yeast - flavour’s pretty much the same, quite sweet but enough spice and yeast to balance. Body is just okay, mouthfeel is sticky, lively and it finishes with enough complexity to make this a pretty decent attempt for a NorAm triple.

Pours murky lighter brown, nice white head. I get a big banana flavor followed by other fruits, apples, pears, then some sweetness, brown sugar, caramel and a slight nutty flavor, kinda thin feeling though and almost watery, but overall a good example of this style.

gorgeuous hazy orange appearance, nice 1/2 " bubbly white froth atop... spice and citrus hit the nose right at the front...sweet and ticklish...orange and coriander, and who knows what else...enticing... Taste: sweet and tasty, orange rind, and caramel essence, ...but for a tripel it lacks complexity...exhibits a typical tripel-y flavor component, but falls short elsewhere...juicy orange and spice in every sip, but not much more. A noble attempt at the style, and a drinkable drink, but nothing to jump up and whoop about, really. Keep on trying...needs something more elevating, more ethereal, more unexpected...to really rank as a tripel.
