Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Slightly phenolic yeasty aroma. Acidic, diacetyl, boozy. A little astringent. Medium body, pretty good for an American Tripel. Not as good as Unibroue.

Very sweet, deceptively thick, quality abbey-style beer. Has a slight wine-like flavor and slight taste of alcohol, just enough to let you know it’s there.

Bottle. Orange colour with a small tan head. Fruity spicy aroma and a sweet fruity spicy taste. Medium body and a sweet finish. Not a bad American Tripel.

Pours orange with a fully receding white head. Aroma of apples, banana, cotton candy, spicy clove, and alcohol. Taste is quite spicy, fruity, and alcoholic with notes of honey. Not much to be said from the hops and malt, thus the alcohol is not well hidden. The alcohol meshes well with the intense phenols.

I aged this one for 4 months (got greedy) and was pleasantly surprised by the flowery bouquet aroma and liked the flavor of orange, spices with minute graininess in there. The only thing I dislike is that it seems like it has to stay really cold because it seemed to lose some of its sharpness as it warmed in my glass. Rerating 5-20-06. The floweryness is still here but it doesn’t have the refined champagne-like palatte other triples I’ve had possess. A good dessert beer.

An unclear orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of alcohol, spices, and peaches. OK triple.

[bottle] Pours dark, hazy orange with a coffee-colored head. Aroma is alcohol, spices, yeast. A little too much alcohol in the palate and aroma, it seems to be overpowering certain aspects of this brew.
