Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Sweet and yeasty nose, with notes of spices, alcohol and bubblegum. Hazy orange brew, medium white head. Sweet and fruity flavor, but a bit too alcoholic.

ABV was front and center on this one, but it couldn’t hide the spice, clove and wheat flavors. The aroma was sweet, almost flowery. A unique and good brew.

a very nice full bodied beer with complex taste somewhat sweet but has some spice to even things out.

Bottle. Poured into a chalice it starts out foamy but thins to minimal head. Nice banana bread/raisin aroma. Spicy (almost citrus burn) on the tongue with a warm, sweet on the lips and spicy alcohol finish all the way to the stomach. The spicy overwhelms the flavor on this one but the warming is nice. This is an ok cold rainy day beer. Drink two and you don’t really mind the rain and won’t notice the cold.

Sampled at Stone 9th Ann. party. Maybe I like tripels more than I think. I had a few today, and they were all pretty good. Fruity nose, and spicy flavor. Dry finish. Not too bad really.

Bottle: Courtesy of Shadey via trade. Very nice aroma that contains yeast, banana, apple, caramel, honey, light clove, and the slightest hints of alcohol. Pours a very hazy reddish-orange with a small off white head that quickly diminishes to a ring. Flavor up front is fruity with apple, banana, melon, and raisin. Strong peppery yeast finish with some light orange peel, light bitterness, and the perfect amount of alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Hazy ambery orange. Huge spiced aroma, with some yeast, and some citrus, maybe banana too. Flavor packed more spice hard to me, to the point where I could almost feel it on my breath after drinking. Very dry finish, spicy and a bit peppery. Good but not balanced.
