Aug 29, 2005 Hazy orange/copper. Bubbly light tan head. Malt, sugar,dark dried fruit, subtle alcohol in the aroma. Same flavor with some dopplebock characteristics (banana,clove,lighter carbonation), also a very dry finish for a triple. Full body. Very good.

Aug 26, 2005 Poured a hazy orange, minimal head, and sediment on the bottom of the glass. Aroma of sugar, fruit, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor starts sweet then turns peppery from alcohol and finishes dry with spices and notes of bananas. Pretty warming with a medium body. Not very balanced and a little too spicy for my taste.

Aug 26, 2005 Updated: Dec 2, 2005Rather nice for a triple. Flavor was well balanced, a little sweet, but didn’t come on quite as funky as most triples I’ve tasted. Not much spice as in most Strongs but still managed to taste very "Belgian."
Rerate: Sipping my girlfriend’s at room temperature brought out an overwhelming scent and taste of japenese fried bananas. MMMMMMMMM!

Aug 25, 2005 Pours a darker amber body - cloudy, no head. Aroma is spicy, yeasty, and sugary with hints of banana and citrus. Flavor is dominated by a yeasty sweetness. Pretty smooth for 9%. Enough complexity to keep me interested, despite a yeasty dominance.

Aug 23, 2005 this beer made me winch. Very strong alcohal taste - overpowering everything else. First poor sample I’ve had form stoudts. But I’ll try more from those guys,

Aug 21, 2005 On tap at Ortino’s Northside. Pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Standard tripel aroma of banana, some citrus and spice. Palate is a bit thick with an alcohol burn at the end. Flavor of alcohol up front with a floral, citrus and spice in the taste. A nice feel and taste overall. Could not have a bunch of these due to the "thicker" feel but still a solid tripel.

Aug 20, 2005 Updated: Aug 26, 2005Tried this again and it was really really good. Don’t know what happened last time but THis was great. Was incredibly smooth. Had a lovely ginger taste i thought and was kinda sweet tasting too. The other time i tried it, it had to have been a bad batch or something wicked went wrong.

Aug 15, 2005 On draught at the brewpub, aroma honey, yeast and nutty. Arrived to me in a horrible beer tasting glass, deep drk amber with nice creamy head. Flavor was good cinnamon and pepper with a slight floral tail. Palate was light but very creamy. Overall a nice tripel.
