fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 13, 2005 Kind of a hazy caramel colored body with a thin white head. Good blend of sweet citrus and spice in the flavor with a hint of candied malts and warming alcohol. A little peppery in the aftertaste, but a smooth drinking beer. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 9, 2005 Fruity golden colour a la peche/.apricot. Yeasty fruity aroma. Smooth drink, well balanced. Fruit yeasty taste, but also drying metallic. Light carbonation, some spice and banana. Alcohol kick muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 9, 2005 Sample, from 12 ounce bottle, at the Mondial. Hazy-oily dark gold with a light slap of foam topping...big, yeasty-bready aroma with a bit of lemon, becoming rather sour and vinegary late...very sweet and doughy, alcohol strongly present in the midpalate, tingly and peppery with a more subtle booze presence towards the end. Pretty so-so for a tripel. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 8, 2005 Sampled at le Mondial de la bière 2005. Pours a hazy caramel color with a thin white head. Very appealing aroma of yeast, citrus and bananas. Flavor of yeast, citrus, bananas and spices. Light to medium body, creamy and oily texture, soft carbonation. Very good. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2005 12 oz bottle. Deep golden hazy with a modest head. Very yeasty aroma with spices, orange, and some sweet malts. Good fruitiness from the yeast as it warms- some more orange with some apricot as well. Flavor is moderately sweet with that traditional candi sugar taste with lots of malt and some spice. A little bit of heat from the alcohol as it warms. Good body and not too light or watery. Very well done. Im looking forward to drinking my last 750 ml bottle soon. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA May 27, 2005 This was a pretty nice tripel, pouring a slightly cloudy orange with a thin white head. Very floral sweet citrus notes in the aroma with a dry spiciness and sweet fruity esters. Lots of upfront sweetness in the flavor, with a fairly heavy body and light carbonation. There was a bit of tartness in the finish, with a bitter finish and a citrus candy aftertaste. Ray1975 (251), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA May 23, 2005 Poured an amber color with a large off white head. yeasty aroma with a bit of fruits and malt. Flavor is fruity and yeasty with a bitterness and alcohol warming. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. OlivierMTL (712), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 19, 2005 Couleur ambrée d’apparence très trouble. Faible mousse blanche pleinement diminuante.
