Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

This beer pours a hazy full copper color, it is fairly well carbonated but does not hold more than a wisp of a head upon careful pouring. When roused the head is a full tan color, though still on the thin side. The aroma is fresh and ripe, with notes of sharp apple, pear, an earthy herbal note, and hints of ginger, pepper, clove, and vanilla.

The taste is sweet up front with a fairly full mouth-coating body to it. The finish is earthy and makes me think of coriander. There are some fruit notes here as well; I get notes of apple, green grapes, and raisins. This beer has a nice sharpness to it that seems to be a combination of prickly carbonation and spicy yeast character.

As this beer both, loses its initial carbonation and warms up a bit it begins to soften up on the palate. The earthy coriander character in the finish seems to become a bit more noticeably, though in truth it was always an evident feature of this beer, This is a pretty good version of a Triple, if I had to guess I would say that it was brewed with a yeast that was derived from the Chimay strain, as it has that characteristic, almost earthy quality to the yeast spiciness.

Yellowish dense head over hazy amber-orange beer. End of bottle is solid opaque yeast. Perfumed, dry-spicey (cloves) nose, quite citrussy. Fiery burning caramel and leafy taste, touch of butterscotch, orangezest, fruity & spicey flavours. Dry bitterish finish. Burning MF, alcohol, slick, well-bodied. Good tripel, well in the established style requirements. "Glowing orange" is not a bad description, and I’m not talking about appearance alone.

Very full of yeast which gives it an interestering look. Orangish tan and very cloudy with a creamy white long lasting head. Aroma is yeast, wheat, citrus. Smells like a standard triple. The flavor is trong... spiced and a mild alcohol takes up resicence. For moments there are bubble gum hints. The finish is smooth and warm and the tangy alcohol sits on the tongue.

Bottle. Commercial description is right on. A hazy light-orange color with a decent white head. No lacing. Aroma is spicey, clove-like with melon and a hint of yeast. Medium bodied leaning to full. smooth. Sugary with fruit and clove flavors. Damn tasty. Thanks The Beer God!!

Bottle pours a cloudy dirty butterscotch, medium foamy off-white head, with spotty lacing.   Heavy bready aroma, some cloves and spices, as well as subtle notes of alcohol.   Heavy light fruit (apples/pears) and a strong dough like flavor on the tongue.   Body is almost there, but the mouthfeel seems rather thick and viscous.   Finishes very bready, thick, semi-sweet, with lingering clove.   Pretty tasty!   Thanks goes out to TAR for the trade!

Beer pours very murky thick honey with lots of sediment. Aroma has significant yeast notes as well as white pepper and some nice fruity esters. Flavor is significantly fruity with big yeast notes and a dry finish. This is a very strong example of the style and must place amoung the best in the U.S. Very good. Thanks DocLock!!!
