COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Sampled at the brewery on 2/20/10. Pours beautiful hazy gold with fluffy white head, bubbling throughout. Aroma of orange, bread, banana and caramel (no surprises there). Light bodied, very sweet flavor and a rich, creamy-smooth mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orangy light amber, minimal white head and minor lacing left on the glass. Smell is strong of citrus, plum, vanilla, and mild clove. Sweet and somewhat creamy, tastes of sugary orange and plums, with a slightly hoppy finish. Minor spicy overtones, also with a delicate honey like flavor.

A citrusy, fruit bouquet. Pours a pale yellow, orange haze. The beer is lively. Has a spicy, citrusy taste. Hints of banana. Has a full creamy body. A good tripel, but nothing special.

pours a lovely light orange. getting some citrus aromas. Belgian golden taste at first but after it warms up a little really packs an alcohol punch. this one sneaks up on you. taste does not linger.

Bottle. Smell is slightly fruity with cinnamon. Taste is definitely spicy.....pepper, cinnamon. It certainly has some bite to it. Not much fruit comes through in the taste. Slightly thinner than I was hoping for in terms of mouthfeel. Not spectacular, but not bad for an American take on the Belgian style.

Has a beautiful orange/brown color, with a white foam head that sits around the rim of the glass. The aroma gives off notes of orange and citrus flavors tied in with yeast as well. A very good sipping beer.

Looks like I’m number 500 to rate this one. What an honor. Am I worthy? Oh well, very nice clove and banana aroma from a yellow amber pour with a nicely lacing head. Flavor was sweet and sour, fruity, nicely balanced with a hop presence at the end. Dry finish.

From an old rating note: 12oz bottle. copper pour. think off-white head. musty cereal, banana, clove aroma. medium sweet taste. slightly acidic. little hot with the alcohol.
