COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

This beer looks great when it pours. A rich gold color, with a sparse white head. The aroma is fruity and hoppy, with evident alcohol. Taste has hints of citrus hops and slight apple/pear flavor. I expected the flavor to be a bit more robust based on the aroma. Overall, another very decent beer from Stoudt’s.

Hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Smells and tastes like orange marmalade spread on banana bread. Cinnamon, clove and alcohol come through at the finish.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2010 Golden color, strong belgian flavor. Strong alcohol content is somewhat notable. Definite hints of spices, orange peel, clove, with a smooth finish.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2006
August 2006 - Dark orange body with a moderate creamy beige head fades. Sweet yeasty alcoholic aroma, very light pepper notes. Bone dry, fairly alcoholic, malt flavour is a bit rough. Alcohol washes out much of the malt flavour. Average to medium palate. Touch disappointing, and rough around the edges. 7/3/6/3/14 - 3.4
December 2003 - Nice golden colour, Aroma is sweetly alcoholic with a something that I can only describe as vanilla though I know it is not. Flavour is sweet with tiniest bit of bitter undertones. Thick almost oily body. 7/3/7/4/16 - 3.7

12oz bottle First off, these new 12oz Stoudt’s beers have more yeast in them then you can imagine. Cloudy orange-yellow, with large yeast chunks milling about biding there time before releasing their vitamin B into my gullet and hopefully keeping my head from aching tomorrow. Rocky off-white head. The aroma is sweet and yeasty. Light citrus and very earthy. Flavorwise sweetness and light spice are dominant. The citrus disappears. Lighlty bitter. Alcohol is present, though in a good way. Medium to full body. Slightly harsh carbonation. A good though not greast triple. More than any othe style, excellent triples seem to be few and far between.

Aromas of sweet yeast and bananas. Murky brown body with off-white head. Some oranges and orange peel are present with the carmel malts in the taste .

got this in a trade a while ago and I don’t know who sent it but thanks who ever you are. poured a cloudy tan orange with a small light tan head that didn’t last long. aroma sour fruits, spicy, yeast. flavor cantaloupe, which I do not like and won’t eat it but I will make the sacrifice and not include that in my rating and finish this beer, got some orange and a nice sweetness which I am glad of because of the aroma being so sour, and a nice alcohol burn, yeast, and some nice spices got the glove and a hint if lemon. not to bad
