Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

On draught at the brewpub, aroma honey, yeast and nutty. Arrived to me in a horrible beer tasting glass, deep drk amber with nice creamy head. Flavor was good cinnamon and pepper with a slight floral tail. Palate was light but very creamy. Overall a nice tripel.

Nice spicy aroma. We can taste the spices cereals, but the Alcohol is killing most of the flavors of the beer.

Nose is slightly tart, clove and apple. Flavor has a crisp floral finish, with spices up front. Enjoyable, but thin.

Poured a golden color with no head. Smelled malt, yeast and fruit...maybe melone? The taste wasn’t bad, but didn’t have much of a mouthfell. Not bad...not a top tripel however.

bottle poured into a trappist glass has a murky golden yellow color, carbonation streaming up the sides, and a thick coating of white head that had great retention. aromas of pollinated yeast, nutmeg, clove, sweet melon, and dried tropical fruit. mouth feel is medium with plenty of carbonation and coats well. flavor has a spiced yeast that hits first, interesting caramel sweetness, bitterness in the middle, and finishing with some alcohol heat, dry, and sweetened spice. good attempt at the style.

Not as good as the Tripels I’ve had from Belgium but a pretty good attempt at one. Pours an orange color topped with a thin head. Some lacing ends up on the glass but appearance wise it just doesn’t look as good as some of the Belgian Tripels. The aroma is quite strong with banana, citrus and vanilla and all of it appearing to be quite sweet. Not really lacking in the flavor department either. It starts with a spicy citrus flavor with a yeasty wheaty taste mixed in then turns slightly sour and alcoholic. It does seem a little like a stronger Hefeweizen but it’s a tad too sweet. The alcohol is hidden pretty well though and there isn’t much of an aftertaste at all. The texture is rich and syrupy but I’d like a fuller better balanced mouthfeel. Overall it’s a good beer but it’s hard to rate it any higher when there are so many better options in the style.
