COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with Biegaman. Murky orange with a decent white diminishing head. Sweet candy malt and somewhat herbal/bitter spicy banana and fruit aroma, some alcohol, tons of yeast - flavour’s pretty much the same, quite sweet but enough spice and yeast to balance. Body is just okay, mouthfeel is sticky, lively and it finishes with enough complexity to make this a pretty decent attempt for a NorAm triple.

i find the body moderate as beer goes. the clove flavor is gratefully refined with quality sweetness. equally appreciative is that this flavor is truly earthy and moderate. the alcohol is not really too warming and the fruit flavors are muted. a semi fizzy yet swirl of bubbles rises from the bottom of the glass as an interesting finish to the pour. a light foamy head as of plastic. the yeast does a fine job of doing as it should for this type of brew. it is one of the more pleasant beers of this variety. in this offering careful moderation which creates good balance is the key to something that in turn is really quite good. as i am not really a fan of the style.

Nice spicy aroma. We can taste the spices cereals, but the Alcohol is killing most of the flavors of the beer.

Cloudy orange color with a small white head. Aroma has spice, clove and lots of banana. Flavor is sweet, fruity, banana, spice and some alcohol noticeable. Lively carbonation and nice body. Nice on draft.

Bottle. Ruddy, reddish-brown color with a dense, creamy head. Caramel, malty, fruity aroma: apples, pear, flowers, nectar - nicely developed nose, almost cloyingly sweet. Flavor is similar... too sweet for me. Not near the complexity of the aroma - echoes of pear and nectar though. Yeasty and toasty. Slightly astringent finish. Decent spiyness. The flavors of alcohol don’t mesh very well with the beer as a whole and make it somewhat harsh. Overall, not a bad beer, but nothing exciting.

Bottle from SL. The pour was hazy golden in color, initial head that faded quickly. The aroma was firm strong bananas and cloves, wheaty elements, like a hefeweizen. The flavor was rich and full hefe, imperial hefe-like, a little too sweet for my likings, although the body was thick or syrupey. I also wanted some saaz action, but maybe I’m wanting too much.

12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orangy light amber, minimal white head and minor lacing left on the glass. Smell is strong of citrus, plum, vanilla, and mild clove. Sweet and somewhat creamy, tastes of sugary orange and plums, with a slightly hoppy finish. Minor spicy overtones, also with a delicate honey like flavor.
