Commercial Description:
A strong, full-bodied Belgian Abbey-style beer. The traditional yeast strain that is used imparts a rich array of spicy and fruit-like flavors. The prominent clove and melon notes are complemented by the sweetness and alcoholic warmth of the beer. The appealing color of glowing orange makes this brew irresistible.

Pours a one-finger cream head, that fades to a ring and leaves no lace. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Color is a slightly cloudy amber color. Nose alcohol and raisins. Starts sweet, nice raisiny flavor, finish is warming but the high ABV is hardly noticeable. $2.49 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.

Good triple, if a little different than most. Almost an abt. Beautiful amber color, dark for a triple. Great sweet flavors of sugar cookies. Very filling, almost as full bodied as barley wine. Good stuff, especially for an American brewer.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy, yeasty, orange ale. Lots of yeast on the bottom of the bottle - up there with hefeweizens and homebrews. Earthy, bready aroma with flowery notes. Classic triple flavor with lots of yeast, spicy hoppy finish.

Mild aroma of caramel, with a relatively clear orange body. Taste is simple, but trully enjoyable. Banana, caramel and rum are the main layers of flavor, with a gentle warmth throughout. There is no harshness at all, and no alcohol hit, though the malting and candi sugar levels are high. Maybe not a technical marvel in brewing, but one of the better tasting triples from the US.

Dark golden in color. Nice head with decent lasting lace. There is no way in @#$% I describe the nose. The taste is of sweet malt, spices, honey, alcohol with hops at the end. A pretty amazing beer. Better on tap than in the bottle. Then again, I live about five miles away from the brewery/pub, so I’m spoiled!

Bottle: Courtesy of Shadey via trade. Very nice aroma that contains yeast, banana, apple, caramel, honey, light clove, and the slightest hints of alcohol. Pours a very hazy reddish-orange with a small off white head that quickly diminishes to a ring. Flavor up front is fruity with apple, banana, melon, and raisin. Strong peppery yeast finish with some light orange peel, light bitterness, and the perfect amount of alcohol warmth.

Amber-orange color, moderate head. Fruity bubble gum, caramel malt, and candied banana aromas. Medium body with slight sweetness and alcohol showing through. Nice long finish

I aged this one for 4 months (got greedy) and was pleasantly surprised by the flowery bouquet aroma and liked the flavor of orange, spices with minute graininess in there. The only thing I dislike is that it seems like it has to stay really cold because it seemed to lose some of its sharpness as it warmed in my glass. Rerating 5-20-06. The floweryness is still here but it doesn’t have the refined champagne-like palatte other triples I’ve had possess. A good dessert beer.
