4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RblWthACoz (964) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 29, 2007Pours a slight clouded gold. Nose is extremely doughy. Flavor is heavy with dough. There is the sweet tone as well that is not really overly strong. It is bit boisterous and bright, but it is very even and never changes as it progresses. Feel is thick and doughy on the tongue. Overall a pretty good example of a tripel I say. Especially for an American producer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 gabbama (201) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - APR 11, 2013
Cloudy yellow orange with a thin white head. Bright, spicy aroma of cloves, orange peel, with a touch of banana and alcohol. Flavor follows suit, adding some bubblegum notes. Long, dry, slightly bitter finish. Not as sweet as some American-made Tripels. Really enjoyed this one!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 HeadyDE (228) - Delaware, USA - DEC 29, 2012
1 yr aged bottle pour..golden color..bottle conditioning evident as one can see yeast/sediment action at bottom of bottle..slight head..fairly carbonated..a little hazy and cloudy..tried to keep sediment in bottle..nose of clove..spice..Banana..typical belgian taste profile..warming and strong on finish..quite nice..one of better american produced versions of the style..reminds me a lot of aged bottle of la fin du monde..just not as complex..very enjoyable however and worth cellaring to allow things to get more interesting..
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 weihenweizen (1166) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle with bird on the shoulder of a monk poured into a trappist glass. Pours clear pale golden with small white head, little lacing, very little carbonation, and light clove aroma. Taste is stale clove, hints of fruit, grainy yeast, some alcohol, and slightly bitter finish. Expected more, really not comparable to the other triples I have had lately.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 solidfunk (1790) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2012
Nice little surprised I packed away for the doldrums of Central American beer. It definitely lived up to expectations. Smells floral with some sweet malt. Pours cloudy orage with good head and lacing - even in this hostel coffee cup Im drinking it in. Taste has light sourness and sweetness. Some boozy bitterness as well. Bottle from village beer merchant.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ronaldtheriot (785) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Stoudts Triple has a medium, fizzy, white head, minimal lacing, and an opaque, orange appearance, with lots of floating gray matter. The aroma is of sweet bread, fruit cake, figs, and dates, and the flavor is the same, with a back-end bitterness and an underlying alcohol note. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Stoudts Triple finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable. Overall, this would be an outstanding beer to have early in the morning with eggs, bacon, grits, toast, and a biscuit. Overall, I think it’s an absolutely lovely beer! RJT
