COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
And an old school Robust Porter, brewed with roasted barley, roasted rye and roasted wheat for a complex, toasty flavor. It’s a big, hearty porter that is fitting for the changing season.

On tap. Black body with tan head. Rich, roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, pale malt aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Roasty, dark chocolate, mild ash flavors with some sugared up dark coffee____good.

Sampler at brewery. I could have sworn there was coffee in this, it was chalk full of it. Must have just been the malts. Some acidity. Some cocoa. The only beer at the brewery that was not hopcentric, so maybe it gets a few extra points for that. Thicker feel, very thick pour with no clarity.

Red brown color with creamy head. It has a very rich chocolate and roasted malt character, not ashy, with moderate sweetness.
Excellent.

Draugth in a flight at a WABL event. Pours a very dark brown color. Nose is roasty and has some chocolate coming off it. Taste is roasty, smooth, and slightly sweet. This one ended up being my favorite one on draught at Stoup.

Draft at Brewpub. Foamy off-white head on creamy brown. Smooth powerful body. Smoky note on a tart, creamy coffee. Well done.

On tap at the brewery. Deep, cola brown pour. Pungent aroma of chocolate malts and warm roasted grains. Flavor keeps that lovely warmth, and tastes big without feeling big. Velvety smooth. Just a touch of citrus toward the finish. One of the better porters I’ve had, to be honest!

On tap at Stoup, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma toasted malt and meaty notes. Flavour brings out dark roasted malt, some almost smoked notes, and really dry notes. Super dry and roasty palate. One of the most complex and drinkable porters I’ve had. Most excellent.

On tap @ the brewery. Pours inky dark brown with very thin head. Aroma is dark roasty malt, light chocolate and coffee notes. Taste is rich chocolate malt, nice earthy bitterness on the finish. Roasty & chocolatey, not sure you can ask much more from a porter... They’re new, but clearly on the right track.
