Commercial Description:
Classic nut brown ale. Originating in northeast England, this ale is more malty and toasty than the typical bitter Pale Ale of Britian. Its deep amber color and rich, full body make for a pleasing pint

Uh, it's brown. Smells like the water that I pour out of the garbage cans at work. No nuttiness. No flavors.

Reddish brown. Tangy, roasty, caramel nose. Sweet taste just doesn't go anywhere or do anything for me. Some strange nutty aftertaste.

Medium tan head atop a clear copper body. Aroma is nutty/toffee, moderately sweet. Taste is medium sweet, toffee, toasty. Light watery body.

Actually I think this is as good as Newcastle. I really don’t like Newcastle all that much, however. Cloudy brown color. Slightly bitter with good balance.
