3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nearly black dark brown; little pale head. Virtually exempt of any nose/aroma/smell. My co-taster detects raisins. Taste is liquorice, sof-sweet; very much like a dark mild, rather than a stout, even a sweet one. Dark malts, nothing roasted, all soft. Retronasal there's a slight smokey flavour. Well-bodied, though the sweetness seem to come from the liquorice, rather than from fermented malts. As said, the brewery calls it a stout. I'd say a strongish, sweet mild.
