3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottled) Drinking 11% Quadrupel beer at 1.45 in the afternoon is one of the perks of entrepreneurialism ; this is actually pretty swillable , with the booze being cool and satisfying. A rich caramel palate ,lots of complex tart fruit esters, both cherry and plum..brown candy sugar covered in silky butteriness. Some floral hops lurk under the dark flavours...

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, cherry, plum and caramel. The flavor was sugar, ripe dark fruits, caramel and touches of wood, herbs, fig and nut. A bit boozy. The finish was long, sugary, fruity and had a lingering booziness. Fairly full bodied. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice dark brown deep red color. Good full body and lively carbonation. Taste is good also, but it’s a beer you’ll want to drink at the end of the evening.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pours purplish red with moderate but brief tan head. Aroma dark fruits, a little sourness and surprisingly some hops. Taste matches with dark fruits, candi sugar, belgian yeast and pine/resinous hops. Palate full with moderate carbonation. Finish slightly bitter and prolonged with dark fruits and mild hops. More hops than most quads but not bad, I would say a nice balance but not a traditional quad. As the advertising says I imagine the taste of this will vary a lot with aging.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a tasty and sneaky quad. Aroma was very nice. Strong Belgian yeast with a heavy dark fruit note. Pour was a deep dark brown/near black with thick puffy 2 finger tan head. Taste was delicious. Strong on the dark fruit. Fig and plum with a heavy mouth feel. As it warmed a strong brown sugar flavor came out and dominated. There was also hints of toffee and that unmistakable Belgian yeast in the aftertaste. Could barely detect alcohol in this beer and was surprised to see it was 11%. Medium carbonation round it out.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, lasting beige head, with some lacing, over a clear reddish brown (SRM 20) body....nose is raisin, cherry, toffee/caramel, cola....taste is dried cherry, raisin, bit of allspice, finishing slightly astringent...mouth feel light, sticky, alcohol heat present, carbonation adds a pleasant spritz. This meets the style. It is not as rich as some, the alcohol is a bit too obvious, and complexity is on the light side. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7
