4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep umber dark mahogany color with a big frothy eggshell foam. On the nose there is a big dose of cola, caramel and a touch of boozy figs. The palate is rich chewy and full of balanced flavors that match the nose nicely. Solid quad !

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a small light brown frothy head that mostly diminishes. Body is dark red brown. Aroma contains molasses, forest fruits, malts, dough, licorice, raisin, plum, brown sugar, alcohol. Flavor starts off sweet and light bitter, to finish bitter and astringent, a bit dry with some alcohol. Light acidity is noticeable all the way. Body is medium, texture creamy and carbonation is soft. There is not much development in flavors but there is a lot of aroma's and the overall taste is just great. Love it!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Classic quad profile. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, prune, caramelized stonefruit, banana, molasses, cola, spices and Belgium yeast. Smooth, medium-medium-plus body, with fine carbonation and a touch of bitterness in the relatively sweet/semi-dry finish.. Alcohol is very well integrated. Well balanced. Elegant, lingering nuances of cola, spice and Belgium yeast. Solid, though not my absolute favorite. Overall, I guess I prefer a little more concentration in my quad. This was elegant throughout, which I'm sure will make many people happy.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 17, 2015 33cl bottle grabbed in Tucson that is "best before Feb 2015." Fairly standard looking quadrupel pour with a decent head that recedes with nice lacing. Aroma is classic quad with dark fruit, caramel and molasses. True to form taste that follows the aroma but maybe a touch too much naked alcohol in the lingering finish. Good, pretty true to style.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Dark chocolate pour with a thick mid-tan head. Nose is out of this world; some dark berries, cherry and blackcurrant, some toffee and treacle, caramel and raisins. Freshly spun sugar. I could plop my nose in the glass all day, but I’m desperate to see if it lives up to it in the taste... wham! It does, sort of - quite a thick drink, and those dark berries give it a sort of vinous quality but that 11% ABV makes itself know quite early on. A mild alcohol burn and a whack of alcohol tastes somewhat overpowers this and takes away from the malty warm profile it would otherwise have. I think this could benefit greatly from ageing. Delicious, if a little overbearing.
