3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottled) Drinking 11% Quadrupel beer at 1.45 in the afternoon is one of the perks of entrepreneurialism ; this is actually pretty swillable , with the booze being cool and satisfying. A rich caramel palate ,lots of complex tart fruit esters, both cherry and plum..brown candy sugar covered in silky butteriness. Some floral hops lurk under the dark flavours...

33cl bottle from bier tempel, brussels. Dark color with red bottom, medium white head. Medium bitterness and low sweetness. Medium to low carbonation. Aroma is alcohol, caramel, raisins, light herb, metal and wood. Aroma could be better but still overall this is nice!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft. Poured dark reddish brown with a huge head. Aroma of dark malts and cherry, maybe some other dark fruits as well. Taste adds a bit of chocolate. Light airy palate is unique and enjoyable but based on that and the head I do wonder if it was intended to be that way. All in all very nice and surprisingly drinkable for a quad.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at SIBF 2012. Pours a murky brown, with sweet dark fruits and baking spices predominant. Lovely, and the flavor follows. Hops on the back, but this is mostly sweet brown sugar and fruit -- similar to pannepot. Just great -- one of my new favorite quads!

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a pillow tan head. Left a lot of floaters in the beer. Lots of lacing left behind as well. Aroma was dark fruit, figs and plums. Flavor was amazing. Fruits, apples, figs and molasses. Alcohol was a non factor. Long finish. Great, great beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours very dark brown with decent head. Rich, dark and strong tasting with soothing hints of chocolate and a swirling complexity that brings malts, raisins, brown sugar and a teasing sweetness. Exceedingly drinkable given it’s a belting 11%, with light touches of flavours that are in no way overpowering like some of its quadruple brethren. Lovely stuff.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark blond with a white medium head. Very weak aroma. Light fruity, hoppy with a some alcohol shining through.
I am slightly disappointed. I had expected more after reading the ratings.
