3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
7/8/12. 11.2oz bottle thanks to Robert! Hazy orange pour with particulates under a nice khaki head. Fruity aroma with a bit of yeast, metal, and caramel. Slightly sweet malty flavor with plenty of yeast, fruit, and caramel. Not bad!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gouden kleur en een geweldige kraag, die ook lang aantrekkelijk blijft. Zoetfruitig aroma. Behoorlijk veel body. Smaakt vrij zoet met een lichtbitere afdronk. Wel ok maar niks spannends.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Total Wine, Fairfax 330ml ($5): Pour is a little dark for a tripel, but it has a nice frothy white head. Aroma is rather complex; the yeast stands out well, along with coriander, fruit, and sugar. Taste is not like a typical tripel in my opinion. This is less spicy and more sort of malty and fruity. The body is very nice. The alcohol is nicely covered. Carbonation is just right. Complexity present in every sip. This was a pleasant surprise.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the bottle poured a lovely amber ale with mucho heado. Very nice, lightly sweet aroma with hints of something else (which I don’t have the words to describe), and hints of bubble gum, and hops. medium full bodied and wonderful. It looked better before I swirled the bottle and poured the dregs in the tulip.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Orange amber with foamy cream head. Nose is light and lively with aromas of coriander and white pepper- or something fresh- and toast with jam. Light well-blended flavor that is both lightly sweet and lightly dry. Sadly ends a little to the sweet side, light bodied.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2 oz. bottle, consumed on 6-10-12. Labeled as “Straffe Hendrik Bruges Triple Ale.” Sweet, buttery, floral aroma features apricot, croissant, candy sugar, brown sugar, orange, and lemon scents. Pours an orange/copper. Liquid is effervescent and hazy with some suspended particulate. The color is cool, and the light-colored flakes of particulate are appealing. Small to moderate amount of cream-colored head. Some lacing. The flavor matches the aroma: Candy, yellow plum, and toffee; quite sweet. Salty, sharp finish. Lightly dry, spicy aftertaste. Heavy body. Frothy and smooth in the palate. Straffe Hendrik Bruges Triple Ale is good but not great, reasonably enjoyable but not memorable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A hazy orange gold pour with a gushing soft being head. Sticky lacing remains. An aroma of soft fruit and candy sugar. The flavor is that soft fruit, yeast, heavy malts and a tinge of sourness late. It is generally sweet and sugary. No hint of alcohol at all.
