Bottle. Dark golden apricot pour with a finger a white fizzy head. Aroma Is mild funk, spices, fruity esters, and sour grapes. Taste is fizzy carbonation, mild funk, hop bitterness, light spices with dry finish that carries through with some warmth from the booze. Really solid brew, this is a fresh bottle, would be fun to try an older one to see where the funk level is at.

2014 vintage marked 14-02-2019. Nose is funky and yeasty, light tang, touch of apple and horse blanket, metallic, lighter shads of golden malt and almost-honey. Pours clear golden with avg carb but a large, oily beige head. Taste is metallic, a little sharp with alcohol but not hot, good candyish yeast character, but the funk is suddenly secondary in the mouth. Light honey and meringue, lighter citrus, but there’s an above-avg malt character there. Fullish body, a bit airy, yeast the dominant force throughout, little bit of a mish-mash at this point (not an insult) but I expect some improvement as the Brett dries it out. In other bottles, that is :)

I love a good brett. This is one. Tamed with the triple palate this is a little like the Orval. Nice one Bottle at De Pintelier.

Bottle at home. Pours dark yellow with steady fine adhesive soapy head. In the nose it’s certainly not wild but more of a saison: peppery , orange zest, coriander... the taste finish is a bit farmhouse alike but that is the only resemblance... lots of alcohol in the taste...
